Sergechev’s Third Law of Hockey states that for every great play, there is an equal and opposite dumbass play.
You aren’t going to get a game like that before the playoffs too often. Both teams were on their A game. The only thing holding it back was the terrible refs.
Apparently I just had bad sports karma tonight, cause I stopped watching and we started scoring🙄

Lightning give up their 9th (ninth) short handed goal of the season (tied most in the league with the canucks) to reset the no shortie streak of 7 (seven) games back to 0.

Good win. Top line was not good tonight. Also think that Perry should be on PP1 I think he’s better around the net than Hagel but that’s a minor nitpick. Kuch hasn’t had a good game in a while but he might just be unlucky. Boston will be a test

Even my wife, who doesn’t always watch or understand what’s happening screamed “another short handed one?!?” I’ve never miserably laughed so hard.
NHL refs could do themselves a lot of favors by consistently calling obvious penalties and never putting themselves in a position where they’re looking for makeup calls. But you know, game management and whatever. Fuck Boston.
What does Vasy and Sergy talk about when they are hanging out? Like is there ever a long silence and then Vasy says “maybe stop leaving me out to dry?”

This was such a fun game. I really hope these teams meet in the playoffs.
For about 5-10 minutes in that second I was praying we would calm down and find our rhythm. Love to see the boys gather it back up and grind out a win.
I might have to say, not sure we match up well against the Wild. Feel like Columbus 4 years ago. I don’t want to see them in the final, if we make it.

I can’t wait to see r/hockey ‘s take on the Hagel penalty.
So does Serg go back to the bench and think “god damn that was a stupid play on my part” or do the coaches have to pull him to the side and tell him to get back when your standing on the blue line and not swat at airborne pucks. That may be the absolute worst play he’s made all year.
Liked the fight in the dogs though. They looked like they were ready to play.
