How is that a goal? Smith clearly yanks the stick out of the dudes hands well before he launches it across the ice. I'm losing all faith in Referee's these days.
0:40 that ref needs to be fired. I've NEVER seen a more obvious penalty then this.
Just a reminder, McDavid was tripped in the opening seconds. No call was made. Things slip, the ref could of thought it got stuck in Smith's body.
Smith has been a jerk his entire career.
As a Canucks fan I’m a bit pissed, but McDavid kinda got screwed over on the Canucks goal so it balances out to me. All in all, good game by both teams
Absolutely fine no call, Pearson pushes smith into the net first and then smith grabs his stick, the ref could’ve given them both a penalty or just not called it

I mean Pearson pushed his stick into the pads and that’s why smith grabbed it. He was going on a line change anyways so he wasn’t affected in the play anyways
