Not only does Markstrom make the team tank, he loses to every rookie goalie , callup or 4th string 4th game type. Every time. It's uncanny. How do new to the NHL goalies get wins over him every matchup? And how about that amazing Vet Leadership super star Lucic getting this team prepared with his leadership for playing the last place team in the league with a rookie goalie? I see why Sutter considers him a key to success and gives him a 4 billion mile long leach. Results.! FFS! It's embarrasing.
Not Markstrom’s fault. Puck just wouldn’t go in for us tonight and we had some defensive break downs and it cost us. Give credit to CHI for taking advantage, but it could have been way worse if not for Markstrom.
That said, I’d go with the Goalie we’re winning with next in Vladar against Seattle. Bench Lucic and replace his Physical Play & Grit with Dennis Gilbert at LD instead of Mackey and Ruzicka in over Lucic
What a joke. People paid $400 tickets to see this crap. $80 million dollars a year and maybe one or two players showed up for this game. Is this what 80 million looks like? Maybe the poker tournament is not such a good idea. This one I would not put on Markstrom. Maybe one goal at the most but the team was not ready or willing to play at the NHL level.
Cmon guys. We Lost to Chicago! Wtf Flames. Even the Canucks Beat Chicago! We are a healthy roster minus Tanev, you can't loose like this! I have always defended Flames. This team is killing me. I know Markstrom was a factor but we can't score?! If kylington is not coming back this season then bring in a defenceman. Last year Stone was in and out of lineup because our D was so good. Now Stone is a regular and when a D goes down we struggle. Sorry but these are games we need to win. Chicago is not even trying.

Time for big changes for this team on paper they should be better on the ice they have not played as a team all year .. Start at the top and work your way down … Time for the GM to loose his job .. Pathetic how he handled the whole affair in his last 2 years.. Good bye TREV
Anyone thinking Markstrom is the problem isnt watching the game. Hes not being the savior or anything but you guys are thinking about his start of the season and not what he is doing now.
Markstrom made huge saves if anyone watched the full game it’s the defences fault. And our lack of offence. This team needs a new coach and gm. If this isn’t addressed by the trade deadline then I’m not watching the last half of the season. Team doesn’t show up when marky is in net. Couldn’t beat a last placed team with their eyes closed. Flames give me nothing but stress now use to be fun to watch now it’s just on for background noise
