Just wanted to appreciate how out of his mind this man is playing for us. We’ve had major goalie woes for years, and it is just so incredible having Vitek The God between the pipes.

VV’s play has been a huge key to success for this team. Our D has been sluggish the last two months and VV bails us out time and time again. We didn’t know what we would really get out of his signing but he has exceeded all expectations and then some.

With both of their play lately, I like being able to feel confident in both VV and Blackwood in goal now. Both goalies stood on their heads in this last back to back and gave the team a shot to stay in the games.
Much different feeling from Daws/Schmid being thrown to the wolves too soon and Gillies guaranteeing a loss when he was in net.

Is there a site that tracks goalie stats by period? I feel like VV gets better as the game progresses and has been especially good in 3rd periods, but would like to substantiate that with numbers if possible.

Vitek is our #1 and it’s not a “1A” situation now. What a savvy trade/move by Fitz to go for VV instead of someone like a Kuemper.
I love how the Devils can play with confidence that they are never really out of it and part of that is VV being in net. So many key saves in the 3rd in some of these comeback wins.
Still cute and VV will be sharing w Schmid, get Blackwood out, sell em, trade em, don’t care, he’s not a playoff or NHL level goalie. Ultimately would be nice to add a strong backup whose a 1-2 punch. Schmid is getting there.
