Wow, somehow the Canucks seem to keep Canucking themselves into a deeper hole.

Isles sub is losing their minds about trading Raty. Fire Lou!

Can the guy play a game in an Isles sweater before we crucify this move. Sheesh

Wonder of Bo has already had discussions about resigning. Last I heard, the Canucks weren’t allowing him to speak to other teams.

Rental prices just went up in this (nhl) neighborhood!

IMO it’s a great trade cause we can laugh at the Islanders

As a Blues fan who’s accepted the team’s fate, this is good news.

Great trade for the Islanders, at least in the short-term. They needed offensive help badly, and this will certainly help with that.

I feel like this doesn’t make a ton of sense for the islanders. They’re nowhere near being a true contender and they paid a hefty price.

Whole lotta Canucks fans are becoming Kraken fans today.

Did Lou fall on his head? Islander fans?

Will he still play for the Pacific All-Star team? I forget how the procedure works when a player gets moved during this part of the season!

You’ve been Canucked. We need to add this to Wikipedia or urban dictionary. Never let management live this down.

To think Lou could have drafted bo.

25% retained by Vancouver as well. Which is hilarious. Go Isles.

  15. Goons be nice having horvat in the east. Get to see more of his play.

  16. I think Canucks way undersold him.

A pick you aren’t likely to even get to use with no replacement pick to use if it’s taken away

A decent forward, although not one to fill the hole in your line up left by Horvat

And a good prospect who possibly won’t turn out in your system as he as far as I’ve seen hasn’t really looked like a guy the Canucks management will like. But time will tell as he bulks up and gets faster.

I’m gonna be honest here, if I were Vancouver I wouldn’t take any less then Nelson or Dobson, or hell take away the prospect and first and give both. Canucks don’t need prospects they need performance now.

There’s also the question of who will they make captain now? Its just a strange trade to make at this time, and honestly I think a bad turnout for the value he has.

He’s a leader, a big player, a great face off guy, got a rocket shot, great playmaking, great defence, can play any role you need him to, etc. for a player like that you should get something of high enough value to get your fans excited.

Believe me, I’m well experienced in shit trades that turn out well, and often turn out terrible. But I feel like this trade cannot possibly work well for the Canucks. As far as I can tell now, they got fleeced.

As an Avs fan, a smidge disappointed we didn’t get him but we don’t really need him and certainly not at the Newhook, Ranta + 1st price. Glad he stays out of the western conference though.

Monahan or ROR would be nice though.

    **Beauvillier** is a cap-dump.

**Aatu Raty** is a B prospect.

    **1st rounder** is protected.

    **Vancouver got fleeced.**
