    why is toronto media surprised? you never game liljegren a chance more than giving him odd NHL games here and there.. and if he made a mistake while trying to learn, "AAHH TRADE HHIM! BLA BLA BLA!", same story with Nylander and Sandin.

    I do not agree with Nick Kypreos assessment of Timothy Liljegren. I think Liljegren is playing at his best right now and I also think he has progressed with each year that he has played with the Leafs. I think he and Mark Giordano playing together are the best defence men pairing that the Leafs have right now.

    He already is.. As sports "analysts" .. I don't get how these 2 don't already see that fact. But I guess with most of their stories being more gossip, than sports reporting. I can understand how they missed something, so obvious to the rest of us.

    i just had a thought, the LAUGHS should change the name of the "scotia arena" to "CHOKE centre" its the CHOKE centre of the universe, or they just call it "the big choke home" (sound perfect for the home of the CHOKING laughs) lol i figure since there's all these PK X + Orange on none 7 9-9 LAUGHS fans in it already. the team's name is the toronto make me laughs…the chokest team in the nhl for 55 years since 1967 & counting..its PERFECT!!

    Lilj was a 1st round pick he's supposed to be a guy. I trust Swedish defencemen to have steady development once the foundation is there.

    What a novel concept…draft a player, let him develop and allow him to improve…. players, especially dmen need to play at the NHL level to learn. The leafs ability to draft and insert homegrown talent into the lineup over the last 30 years has been awful. In a salary cap world, it is imperative you develop from within.

    I am very often on Kypers opinion, BUT I have to disagree on that one very hardly!!!

    Timo is the guy, who will go down as the best D from this era!
