They need to. I've been saying it on these videos for months. The Toronto Maple Leafs cannot get out of the first round without a goalie that can steal a game. They do not have that guy right now. Neither goalie can win a game the Leafs do not deserve to win. And you can't win a playoff series unless you have a goalie that can do that.

The real problem has been the same problem from day 1 and that is far too often their best players their top line players are going MINUS .The other night IDK if it ended that way but Nylander was like -4 and Marner -3 seriously like wtf your not winning a Stanley Cup like that IDC who your goalie is.Most people just don't get it because they spend too much time admiring points.
Nylander and Marner are wonderful players to watch in open ice they skate great and have great vision but neither one can win the grit battles of playoff hockey.What would i do with the roster well i haven't put enough time into it because i am not a Leaf fan so IDC if they lose lol.I can tell you this the goalie is the very last position I would care about you do not EVER spend money or give away assets for goalies.
So w/o a ton of thought i do have an idea move say Nylander for Chychrun.IDK if that is enough for the coyotes maybe if they insist a first round pick then say ok but we want Lawson Crouse who would be a good solid fit for playoff hockey.
If the Leafs could steal Demko from the Canucks, they'd be my pick for the cup.
I can't stand the Leafs either, but the Canucks are a joke, and Demko is a top 5 goalie in this league
The problem for the Leafs is that 1 or 2 won't do it they need a few grittier guys that constantly win board battles that make life tough for the opposing D and that would be enough to make them a true legit contender for the.Oh and Nylander has gone -3 two of his last 3 games so have these two been riding the coattails of Mathews?

I've read the comments up to this point. Leafs got decent goaltender we just need a better (more defensive harder hitting) bottom 6. Yeah the D has its nights but when I look at some of the other big dogs in the league their bottom 6 is usually… Fiesty.

it was not samsonov's fault last night. he kept them in it waiting for his teammates to make a move which they did not.
