    Ouch!! Feel really bad for Mark Stone of the VGK, awesome player but out long-term again with another back issue, sucks for Vegas to lose him again. His career may be over. The rumor I like best is Patrick Kane to the NYR, just imagine him with all that firepower, and Kreider on the PP, OMG. Sad that Tage Thompson got hurt and will miss the ASG , I knew something was wrong when they said he wasn't on the bench at the start of the 3rd period. I would like to see the Blues get Jesse P. for his strong defensive play, but ,I doubt they can afford him as they don't have a lot of Cap to work with.

    Anderson + PLD played together and they had some chemistry together(PB and J line). So having Anderson around when PLD decides to sign in MTL will make it that much easier. I agree it would take a monster trade to get Anderson out of MTL.

    Sad to hear about Mark Stone. Back problems are serious. Hopefully he can mend and fully recover. This is a serious blow to Vegas. They have to hope Eichel ups his game (sort of like what Malkin does when Crosby is hurt). Starting to wonder why Wings have still not signed Larkin. Guess he's asking for way too much money, what else could it be? Hawks can't expect a huge huge return for Kane if the hip surgery rumour is true. Whatever happens, Sharks should get a great return on Meier.

    An NHL game Down Under makes sense only if it's Blues vs. Kings since those are the only two teams with players having any ties to Australia: Nathan Walker (who was born in Wales grew up in Australia and has represented the country in international competition) of the Blues and Jordan Spence (the only Australian-born player whose appeared in an NHL game, though he claims dual Canadian and Japanese nationality) for the Kings.

    patrick kane has been dealing with a nagging hip for a few years now. he says he is able to play through it. kane put up over 90pts last year with his bad hip, and has been over a ppg the last 3 years with this hip issue. as for leverage in a potential trade, the hawks have more than likely already had preliminary discussions with potential sutiors, gauging levels of interest. if kane decides he doesn't want to stick around for the re-build and is open to moving, he isn't going to pull a giroux (not his style). the hawks will present teams (contenders the hawks have probably already had discussions with) to kane that are willing to meet or close to meeting their asking price. from there, that list will be thinned down and the hawks will proceed in trying to finalize a deal with those specific teams(ie fleury last season).
