Their whole plan hinges on everyone being healthy, and everything going exactly to plan… which is idiotic.
Dk, realistically is there actually anyway out of these lines we have for the rest of this year & next? There isn't really a team out there that will take any of the guys that are hurting us with the cap hits they have & contract lengths. We can only get rid of the players that aren't hurting us & replace them with the same. From what I see, the next couple years are looking bleek.
Team is lost
DK I;m looking at the Pens malaise from a defense point of view too. Are the Pens giving up more goals now than when they were hot? They do give up those goals at weird times. The 3rd and 4th liners are there because they need to be set up a lot more than the 1st and 2nd lines to score, and the pens D hasnt been contributing any scoring nor have they been moving the puck well to set up scoring chances by the 3 and 4 lines….Dumo moves the puck but he moves it to the other team and he is out there for 1/3 of the game. Jarry is a really good puck mover but he has been out a lot. Letang and Petry have been out and havent been scoring. Just sitting Dumo could make for a huge improvement in overall team performance. The 3rd and 4th lines need help so they can score.
