This is the first time I’ve said this about a billionaire but I love Alex Meruelo. I couldn’t have even imagined somebody proposing a privately financed Tempe arena even 3 years ago. Even if half the stuff in this proposal goes south, the fact that this could be a reality makes me tear up.
