I am personally responsible for upwards of 2000 views on this video. I was a teenager when this game happened, and was disillusioned and upset having watched the first three quarters (I was the kid who sat in front of the TV and cried post the first Super Bowl loss). I was upstairs watching the game in the living room, and my dad was in the basement. I gave up on the game right before the Celek touchdown, and just walked away sadly. Meanwhile, my dad continued to watch. After fifteen minutes, I heard him shouting, and joined him in the basement for the final punt return. I didn't understand at the time, but this now feels like the quintessential Eagles moment from the past twenty years (even including the Super Bowl win). Merrill's call is chilling, rooted in history, and passionate. What a moment.
Great classic Vick performance before he was done.. absolutely LOVE it was with my birds! Always respected you Vick for eating your mistakes.. sorry no one forgave you. FLY EAGLES FLY!
As great as a comeback that this was, an to win it on a punt return as time expired. Take a second to recognize. The Giants had the ball with 1:16 left and 3 time outs, Philly was out of time outs. All the Giants had to do, was get enough yards for a field goal and end the game with no time on the clock. The defense failed to show up for nearly 4 full quarters, but they made that stop to force the Giants to punt to Djax, and I think that goes under appreciated. Ill never forget watching this game with my dad. Go Birds 🎉
As a packers fan, this game saved our season. The bears would go on to clinch the nfc north on that Monday against the Vikings and had the giants won they would’ve secured a playoff birth, ending the packers season. This was the year the packers went on to win the super bowl so the eagles literally changed the course of history with that miraculous come back
Browns fan here … this probably one of my favorite games ever to watch highlights of … especially this video with the Remember the Titans music in the background … perfect set up😁
Mike Quick with the OOH OOH did it for me. I'm just glad DeSean muffed the ball. It was the most perfect comeback i've ever seen because everything the Eagles needed to happen actually happened.
4 touchdowns in the last 7:30 of the game with a walk off punt return. my favorite game ever and undoubtedly the best comeback of all time, i still remember watching it live. this was the peak of vick and jacksons careers. the NFL just aint the same
I couldn’t believe what was happening in this game. I was watching the Falcons that game and was seeing highlights from other games and it still didn’t make sense how the Eagles came back.
I was 14yo (now 26) when I saw this live on tv, I had just became a fan of football as well as the eagles just a year or two before this. All I can remember was having one of the happiest Christmas' EVER. I still come back to this video around the holidays just to relive this moment. Go birds 🦅
giants fans had been leaving early, thinking it was over. there were dozens of cars pulled over on the turnpike as stunned giants fans listened to the game turn against them!
I was watching this game live at 14 years old when my Philly boys came all the way back. The only other time I’ve jumped higher off the floor was their SB victory. I’m down with the flu currently shedding a tear boutta tell my wife I just coughed too hard 🥲
and Maclin looks so fucking cool when he turns around, shit thrown at him, no emotion on his face, and that monster fucking spike after scoring, he knew he just crushed the giants fans

One of my favorite YT videos ever. The call, background music, everything. Not a fan of either team, just someone who loves football.
i watch this 10x a day
I want to rewatch the actual game for a 3-?? Score because it seems like this always happens in 3-24 or games of that nature
I wonder whatever happened to the ball he threw into the stands after scoring that return

One of the greatest comebacks ever!!
Raise your hand if you were there and stayed until the very end 🤚

Whenever I'm having a bad day or a negative period in life and I feel like life's odds are against me, I watch this….and all is cured.
Idn about any 1 else but that feeling when Desean was running that back and broke through the middle – can’t be replicated … what a special time
2022 I get goosebumps and cry every time I see this
This is THE greatest comeback in NFL History. Enjoy.
All these years later this is still my favorite moment as an eagles fan. Merrill Reese just adds to the excitement of this.
I hope a Giants fan caught Jackson’s ball and out of respect handed it the nearest Eagles fan.

I've watched this so many times. It honestly brings tears to my eyes still and I'm a Vikings fan. This is pure magic.
The book was called no medals for trying
11-1 on are way to the Superbowl god willing ! Watching these highlights only real birds 🦅 fans know about this!
Mike Quick OH OH!

Years later and man this still hits hard.
Anyone still get chills from this game?
The Desean play gets the most attention, as it should, but man Vick was so incredible in this comeback.
That was a great game against the midgets. Hoping for more magical times like that here in 2023.
"what a game this has turned into" always gets me
We never talk about David Akers (well deserved hall of famer) PERFECT on-sides kick. So critical!
love this edit, vintage Vick here, awesome to watch
