OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the recent play of Montreal Canadiens goaltender Samuel Montembeault. Who has steadily improved since becoming a member of the Habs. Jake Allen had some nice things to say about him yesterday, and in today’s video we’ll take a look at the comments that were made by Allen, and much more!

The next Cristobal Huet, or even Hackett baby Hackett !!!
He has been good lately but hes streaky. Theres no way to get a quality goalie unless you draft and develop him. Primeau wont be #1 so its probably time to start drafting goalies.
He's so young only 26. We could have him for a very long time as long as he's around league average
I’ve really been impressed since coming over from Florida, I think he’s got some major upside. Would be very nice to have a goalie develop with the rest of the group, and it really shows how the guys battle in front of him. Big fan
May in fact have the best fundamentals in the NHL.
Ya he is better this year and by a lot. Hopefully he keeps it up and can be that guy for us till we get the real guy to take us to top. Dobes is his name and hopefully he turns pro at the end of the season. Dobes will need a season in Laval so Monty has the nets for the next while and I'm good with that. We are still in tank mode over here.
Monte is impressive as of late, trades are happening don't get to attached .
Monty will be good enough to be a decent #1 goalie. He won't reach Carey Price levels, but he will also cost much less. That extra money can go towards one or two talented forward, giving Montreal a much more balanced team than they have been in the last 2 decades.
Considering the amount of breakdown in the defence(hey they are young and will improve) he as kept the team in some games. Like the rest of the team, he is exciting to watch, makes great saves and does not fall apart or give up too many weak ones this year.
He doesn't have to be great. He's got to be above average. That's all I ask of him. No knock on Carey Price but I'm not convinced the post salary cap NHL has had too many cups won by a team who's best player was the goalie. I'd like the Habs to put their money on players who can score goals and see how they fair.
Samuel is playing well enough to win on a team that's full of rookies and call ups. Imagine him playing this way in 2 or 3 seasons with a team that has more experience and less injuries? He's earned more ice time. Keep giving him some.
I thought after we picked him off waivers he has shown steady improvement and this year has been impressive…. he will still be here whether as backup or starter Allen interview was quite nice and I think the ball is in Monty's court

Panthers let him go for nothing. We picked him up wheeled goalie bag and all. Welcomed him in, fresh meal. Joking asside. We have had him over a yr, he has come along well. Let him keep going. He is the age goalie figure things out. Fucale just figuring things out now in wsh. Goalies can take longer than fwds and dmen.
Also being serious primeau is do far off the big club radar . Leave him in ahl for 3 yrs see if he developes stronger. If they cannot wait trade him to maybe….Calgary where the goalies in the system are jammed at the nhl level and get Dustin wolf back to mtl. Stater for the nhl in1.5yrs. Could be the kipper Calgary passes on and a new franchise goalie we may have. Just a thought.
