  1. Long Beach Native Matt Nieto!!! LOC + Nieto speedy boy line. Complete chaos on the PK too. Lewis Hamilton will be jealous of how fast these guys can go. 🏎️ 🏎️

  2. Ryan Merkley is a minor league player that will be sent down to the Eagles for NHL development concerned with his attitude that wont help right away

  3. Good trade. I like Kaut, but he never had a shot here. Trading him for Merkley and McD for Nieto is a clear win.

  4. Man I love Nieto, that's amazing. We'll see if he is the same guy we had last time around, if he is, wow what a win. PK option, 4th line option. Amazing guy for this team. We have enough top 6 guys and bottom 6 guys it feels like now. We want about 8 of each for the playoffs, hoping the top six gets and stays decently healthy. I'm getting comfy with erod, newhook both being solid options when the top 6 is healthy around them. Comfier as we go, which was exactly the reasonable thing to hope for at the start of the year. But just in case our third line has to be stripped and put into line 2, having two great fourth lines to be 3 and 4 is both viable and now possible with Nieto. He could even push us to rest guys when fully healthy. LOC cogs and Helm were so good that's crazy talk.

  5. Bit of an odd trade to me. Seems like a clear loss for Sharks no matter how you slice it. I would be curious to know their reasoning behind the trade

  6. Why would the sharks agree to two guys that in anyone's trade analyzers would say the avs again made a solid trade? Seems like that old Charlie sheen "winning" meme is like Sakic's Playlist.

  7. Jacob Macdonald hasn't been the same since that massive hit and injury last season. Really hope the dude succeeds in SJ👍

  8. You guys make Merkely sound like a real turd…why the hell do the Avs want to deal with that? and get rid of MacDonald who also had more promise than this merkely guy? Merkely is a Right hand D in a sea of left handers, is that why they wanted him? (kidding). Not a fan of the minor move. Seems pointless. Nieto move I get, but he's also still not that good. He was on some of those pretty disappointing 2nd round losses AND the 48pt season. What was so good about him that they needed to have a -22 guy back?

  9. Ryan Merkley is terrible. He is bad on the defensive side. He makes slow passes which lead to forwards getting checked silly. He is very slow for the NHL. His attitude is the same and he’s not a child anymore. He is very small for a NHL RD/LD. No one can help this kid because he won’t help himself. I give him 2 years in the minors before he’s out of the league. The Sharks added by subtraction.
