Caps suck

  1. ok this is a perfect example of an illegal hit. People are always talking about how the legal isn't fair and how some players are let off easy. And this is a perfect example of that. Carlosn should be suspended and if he's not, the league has failed to do their job.

  2. @Pens71Fan Because he never learns. Maybe up until this season, the goofball just kept giving out head shots even though he was told not to. He obviously has a thick head because the message didn't get through until this season. Understand?

  3. @swflyers30 Alright, understood. Thanks for not being such a d*** about my question like most people would be. I just thought you were talking about how he acts currently, he finally fixed his goon problem.

  4. LOL at everyone saying thats NOT a headshot. I hate cooke but that right there is a headshot and should be a suspension.

  5. Yserman your a jerk if you ever read this i hope you understand i use to be a fan living so close to detroit i grew up watching you play and to be bias towards cooke after he has clearly been following your new conduct rule that was 100% intentional from anypoint of view there was no cringe he got ready for the hit and then followed through the HEAD and threw cooke this is a prime example why a former player should not be making these kinds of decision

  6. So thank you for your BS explanation and the 5 seconds of time where ovechkin wasnt in the way of viewing cooke wasnt enough time to avoid him or notice that his elbow was going to blast through cookes head im pretty sure it was your fail when you said it was the responsibility of the player to avoid the head i can clearly see that he didnt try to avoid cookes head in anyway but actually made it the point of contact by lifting his elbow so again yserman your a tool

  7. head is the principal point of contact genius what does the rule state yeah thought so dumpinthemud your name says it all. its a great explanation to your existence.

  8. @jrsnowden1025 Actually, moron, we just had the same thing happen with a non-suspension for a head shot on Eakin. None of us whined like the Piss burgh crowd.

  9. @Cappie4ever228 Actually, given the way that you spelled exception, I think you must be a Piss burgh fan

  10. @Hockeygod98 Well, that's funny. Saint Mario not only had Cooke on his roster but signed him to a new deal after the Savard hit. Then he had the nerve to whine about head shots. Lemeiux is an ideological idiot? I agree.

  11. @Cappie4ever228 Yeah, it does mean you're a Pissburgh fan because you display the appropriate stupidity now followed up by a complete lack of class.

  12. BS. Lemeuix is a liar and a hypocrite and he was roundly ridiculed when he came out with his whining. Same old Mario

  13. I have a 3.9 GPA and am in 5 AP college classes, how am I stupid? I typed 1 word wrong…..so that means I am stupid. And 'lack of class' thats funny coming from you, considering some of the other comments that you have posted.

  14. @CapsSkinsFan It doesn't matter if Backstrom has never made a cheap shot hit. He is a player of the Capitals team, so you would be angry about someone cheap-shoting him. You can't hold grudges against people, especially someone who has finally changed their ways. Cooke is a Pens player and was hit in the head, so all us Penguins fans are not happy about this. I don't want any Capital player to get injured no matter what they've done before. All your stars are great players, including Ovi.

  15. @CapsSkinsFan
I'll be sure to while the Pens are sitting as division leader and the Caps are just scratching by trying to get the eighth seed and the panthers laugh and laugh.

What, whos gonna prove me wrong? Ovenchicken who cant score a goal? Semen who makes 7.5 Million a year and was a healthy scratch? Or are you gonna sick your goon coach on me? Bring it, cause all I know is the caps will always fail in may, and wont even get to see June except through an early summer.

  16. @peanut8250
How about we go punish Hunwick since he caused his second concussion and get off matt cooke's back about it? or you know, how about we go and punish Bertuzzi for Moore's incident and ask Ryan Johnson what he thought of Bertuzzi for an identical hit that landed Cooke a suspension for the rest of the season and the first round of the playoffs? Or how about we go ask the Pens what they thought about Steckle hitting Crosby in the winter classic?

  17. @TrollingYouGood
Except it was Hunwick's second hit that has been keeping out savard hasnt it?

  18. @SludgePunkGrunge
I am. You cant excuse Todd bertuzzi for playing the same way Cooke does and only punish cooke. and Savard had come back after Cooke's hit, so it isnt cooke who's been keeping him out of the game, its Hunwick. Bringing up the "ask marc savard" defense is just stupid because he came back.

And actually, you call tell all the Caps fans who became fans after Ovi came in, cause Cooke was a Caps for a few years, and he played just as dirty there too.

  19. @tenlosol Bertuzzi was not a repeat offender like Cooke =) big difference. And Marc Savard was never right after the hit from Cooke. So don't give me that shit. You must be new to hockey. It's okay.

  20. @SludgePunkGrunge

REALLY? Bertuzzi quite literally ended a man's career single-handedly and just last season, as I said before, laid a heavy heady shot on Ryan Johnson in March of 2010-2011 season after cooke had been suspended for the remainder of the season and a playoff series for an identical hit on Ryan McDonagh. Cooke never ended anyone's career by himself. The league just doesnt want to call Bertuzzi on his actions

and no, Im not new to hockey. been into since 95.

  21. @SludgePunkGrunge

Oh I know he has. been watching him do it since he was drafted. Just like I've been watching Bertuzzi play dirty since he was drafted. Look past your bias and you'll see just how many more players are dirtier than cooke.

  22. serves him right, ruins one of the best players in the league at the time of the injury in Marc Savard, slices Erik Karlsson Achilles tendon, accidental or not he has been a dirty player his entire career. I would never wish anything bad on anyone but if I saw Cooke get a career ending injury it would deem to be pretty deserving if you ask me.
