Brad Marchand uses a combination hooking/spearing motion on Jordan Greenway. This video demonstrates how I use my suspension scale. It’s the difference between an obvious spear with meaningful force well after the whistle to a player not even close to being involved in a hockey play such as with Jacob Markstrom on Nicolas Meloche (for which I issued the maximum 10 game suspension), and this questionable spear with light force in the context of an actual hockey play during live play.

Not a tough call.. he got suspended already for this 2017 I think..
No, this was an intentional attack to the nuts, not his first offense of this type, 15 game minimum. Frankly given his record Marchand should have been banned for a season on several ocaisions
