The Red Wings took advantage of the Vancouver Canucks poor goaltending and put 5 past Spencer Martin. Two goals were from Dylan Larkin, two from Jonatan Berggren and one from Filip Hronek, to win 5-2. Detroit was outshot but Ville Husso stood on his head to only allow two on 36 shots. Lucas Raymond and Jake Walman are currently listed as day-to-day. The Wings now go on the road to face the Canucks again to begin their western Canada road trip. #lgrw

Great content! Great episode! I foresee a long win streak coming! Lot to play for down the stretch for well over half the team – per contracts! Defense has no identity whatsoever.
Hronek is a different player when paired with Maata. He is borderline useless when paired with Chiarot because he has to concentrate on D (which he’s awful at) and covering for Chiarot’s mistakes.
With Maata he can focus on being an offensive weapon and plays with MUCH more confidence.
The Wings (Yzerman) need to admit the $4m mistake and put Chiarot on the 3rd pairing for the good of the team
FYI (just to clue you in on reality, in case you have other beliefs), the Wings will absolutely max out getting a low third for Bertuzzi. Any other thoughts are simply ridiculous
Chiarot is not learning some lesson. He played the same way he always plays, which is better than you guys are willing to admit.
Was that goaltending really all that bad? First one he was probably screened, Larkin put it right under his arm with a good shot. Second was a deflection from a crazy angle. Third was a wide open net after a cross ice pass. Fourth was another cross ice pass from a weird angle that Berggren couldn't just tap in. Fifth goal was kind of a snipe by Hronek. None of those were really bad, the Canucks defense was more responsible for letting those chances happen. I wish the team could break 30 shots every night, but they definitely capitalized one the few chances they had.
Our defensive lines should 100% be Seider – Walman, Hronek – Maata, and Chiarot – Oesterle. We are losing efficiency with whoever Chiarot is paired with sadly
