I mean, at this point, does another long playoff run seem plausible or even beneficial? If the injuries to Landy, Helm and Nuke from last season keep getting aggravated, while new injuries to several others keep popping up, what’s the upside to getting someone at the TDL? A pure rental seems like a waste of assets that will, more likely than not, not lead to a serious Cup push. With as stacked as this year’s draft is, I’d be much more comfortable building up our prospect pool than wasting those picks and a prospect in a trade. The boys need rest.

Injuries aside, if we beat those bottom feeder teams we would be in a much better position.

Well this really sucks. I keep thinking we’re back on track, and then more injuries hit our team.

  5. At this point all you can do is just laugh. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed such an injury ridden season.

Oh man, this is worse than I thought. I was expecting Makar to be back at a minimum. Was hopeful for Manson considering Hunt was moved down. EJ and Francouz were new injuries so not surprised on them.

How bad was that hit to the head really? I took Makar skating as a good sign but I guess not. Fuck Carter.

The season of the Colorado Eagles in the NHL continues.

Is a stay at home defenseman a more pressing need than a second line center?

Manson had a regular sweater on today. He looked good.

Goddamn we need some stem cells up in here

Wait why Frankie again? We’ve seen how good Georgie can be but he cannot go 13 games straight again, it’s just too much

Holy fuck. The cost the win the Cup was much greater than anticipated.

The scary one here is Makar. Seems like post concussion syndrome. This can make a player comeback in 1 week like it could mean his season is over (See Byram). This is scary.

So no timeline on landeskog still? Last I heard he was going to start skating the middle of February. Anyone know if this is still the case or has there been another setback?

Also fuck me sideways. We get back Bo but lose a mak? I am filled with sadness

At this point we might need to consider the possibility of the Avs not making the playoffs.

Makar likely has a concussion, which means he probably won’t be playing for another week at least. Sounds like the others won’t be back in the line-up anytime soon.

The possibility this team misses the playoffs must be considered at this point.

The Makar concussion situation could be especially concerning, because it took Byram several months to recover from concussions last season.

This season feels like a punt & just try to get healthy for next at this point. It really does highlight how important it was for the Avs to win it when they had a really good shot because damn, windows are finicky. I’m not saying they’re not contenders going forward, more that this’d be so much more painful if they didn’t beat TBL when it really mattered.
