  1. Toch is training him to be a good two way player, and is doing the right thing for the team and Kuzy. When you are not in a playoff spot you can afford to give him the training he needs. The result of this gives guys like Garland and Boeser who have struggled this year to get good top two line minutes to right the ship. It's no secret they are trying to trade those players and don't want to give up very much to get the caps space they need to fix their defense. It's a process that has to happen.

  2. Tochket needs to get Boeser d game looking better. Just awful.. Boeser can't skate anymore.

  3. Don’t see it being a big deal right now. Tocchet is seeing his team from all angles experimenting because the team is not in the win mode now. No secret the team defence sucks, put players in different roles and see what u have, need etc. Kuz not making big bucks until next year maybe buy that time Canucks have better players or guys that will fill the void for their core players. At least the team is entertaining loosing lol

  4. tochett is teaching and molding kuzmenko into the new canuck era and why not do it now because of the "tank hard" theory pedi kuz and huggy only safe players & dont kid yourself this roster is being watched theres a new era here now by by stress free street hockey country club style of play

  5. kuz and garland are quite predictable because that's what they do all the time. the opposition knows that's what they are going to do and it's not working for them anymore. you don't want to be paying 5 mill AAV for a one trick pony which these 2 are.

  6. these are some most important and precious advices every one should read 💜🙂

    1. If you don't climb the mountain; you can't view the plain.

    2. Don't leave it idle – use your brain.

    3. You are not paid for having brain, you are only rewarded for using it intelligently.

    4. It is not what you don't have that limits you; it is what you have but don't know how to use.

I hope you have learnt something you can recieve more from my this channel🙃🙃🙃……

  7. The Canucks need even their offensive players to play some defense because they have such poor goaltending and defenceman. I don't blame Tochett for stressing this.

  8. Once Boeser is traded Kuzmenko will get more time. I think they are trying to showcase Boeser and increase his value.

  9. keep up the good work Tochet. hopefully by next season this team will learn how to win.

  10. Rick Tocchet is a horrible coach who has extensive experience coaching bad teams. If the objective is to tank the Canucks and move them to the basement in order to get a shot at Bedard, he is doing a great job. Not playing Kuzmenko with Petterson is a total waste of resources. Kuzmenko elevates Petterson's game as much as Peterson elevates Kuzmenko's game. If you want to increase your fire power let them play together. Don't turn Kuzmenko into Tyler Motte. The Canucks had Tyler Motte and they got rid of him for nothing. Let Tocchet deal with Tyler Meyers. It's just a matter of time before Tocchet is shown the door.

  11. Need to build Boeser's value and Kuz does need to get better defensively, it just sucks because it's so much more fun to watch him on Pettersson's line

  12. Tocchet isn't here to win any popularity contests. He sees a deficiency in Kuzmenko's game and is willing to do what he can to make him a better overall player. Kuz is obviously a very talented offensive player, but Tocchet seems to think he can be better defensively. It won't be a popular decision with Kuz, or the fans, but like I said, if he has to be the bad guy to get the job done, then so be it. With the Canucks out of the playoffs, Tocchet can afford to sacrifice Kuz's offense to make him better defensively.

  13. Just to add coupla pennies, "too much spinning" and "high risk" are not one and the same. "High risk" refers to things like not making the right plays and trying to do too much, too fancy, trying to force and go through people, holding the puck too long spinning around then blind passes, not moving the puck fast or efficiently enough (in both all zones). Plays that might work 20% of the time or will result in a turnover. "Spinning" could also refer to high risk as while this can refer to possession plays but here I believe he is referring to players doing a curl to backcheck rather that stopping and backchecking in a straight line and keeping your feet moving as is supposed to be done (watch #9 he has this habit). This is a bad, improper and lazy habit that will get you chewed out by any competent coach if you keep it up. If you're a leader and you do it…hopefully it leads to the tankiest tank that ever tanked in the history of tankendom.

  14. He's sending a message that he doesn't care if your one of the best or a 4th liner on the team. You play hard in both ends of the ice or your ice time will be cut down. This isn't anyone's fault but Benning's. He missed too often with his picks and even missed on a couple top ten picks. That's why this team is a bottom feeder. Its gonna take a few years to make this team respectable. The team has no cap and they have probably the sloppiest defensive play in the league. It will take time and some luck in the draft lottery to right this ship.

  15. Kuzmenko is a +3. Miller is a -15, Boeser a -15, Burroughs a -12 and Ekman-Larsson a whopping -23. Wow, the Canucks have been really good at alienating Russian superstars in their history.

  16. I think he’s talking about playing where the whole team ends up deep in the zone and when the team goes on defence they do nothing but constantly try to stop 3 on 2 opportunities
