I liked haula last year. I didn’t understand the trade when they made it. However holy crap do I get it now. Pavel is good

  2. Posted this in the daily discussion thread but Haula is having a crazy unlikely year. At least by what the numbers indicate. He’s shooting more than he was last year, just nothing seems to be going in. If he were a completely average player at his position and depth he’d have like 10-12 goals right now

I do think Zacha is definitely the better and more valuable player, don’t get me wrong, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Haula’s numbers start to explode

Let’s be honest Ole Don completely fleeced the Devils. Zacha being so young is the icing on the cake too.

NHL 21 or 22 (whichever one had Haula on the Bruins) had jacked up his skills something fierce. He was my number one guy, netted something like 60 goals for me.

I know this information is completely irrelevant, but every time Haula’s name is mentioned, I think of how the developers juiced the shit out of him that year.

  5. It was pretty funny for me actually when the Zacha trade happened. I was talking about him as a great target for the B’s with some friends, as someone with a high draft pedigree and versatile (play center or wing etc), but might not have hit his potential yet. I didn’t call the 1:1 Haula trade but was stoked when it happened because of the lack of picks needed to get him. I’ve been wrong about a lot but was glad to see I was right on this one.

Maybe, just maybe, puljujarvi might be worth inquiring about too. I find it hard to believe when such high draft picks don’t work out. Feel like there’s a much better chance at the “change of scenery” will actually pan out.
