  1. The Calgary Flames can't stop gifting me with more of that good stuff. And by that good stuff, I mean hockey played so suboptimally, so inept, so devoid of desire to win that only a person who is cheering for the other team or actively dislikes the Flames can stand to watch the full game. It's beautiful the way the high volume/low% offense and the opportunistically sieve-like goaltending weave into a perfectly balanced stream of metaphorical red and yellow. Red because they're always getting stopped and yellow, like a caution flag, because their goalies need repair. Yes – Red and Yellow – not only like the colours of the Flames but also like your urine when you have something wrong inside of you. You know where I'm going here… after all, the Flames are the NHL equivalency of a UTI in so many ways. Painful for those who claim them as their own but also mundane and common in their respective worlds. Sometimes it causes a sort of incontinence where you have a little leakage, akin to 5th goal that sealed the deal which snuck past one of the many holes the better of 2 Flames tendies possesses. Sometimes it's like there is no flow at all… is that the 4th line or a kidney stone I'm talking about? Yes… the Flames have shown their true selves. A collective that amounts to nothing but a painful piss.

Thank you for blessing me as a Oilers fan this season my precious little brothers in Cowtown. Stay safe.

  2. Nice win by the Wings. Hopefully with the winning streak, Woodward Sports will spend a little time later today talking about the Wings. The constant talk about the upcoming NFL draft seems to be the big story here in the Detroit area. You'd think the Lions had made the playoffs. It's almost as annoying as listening to Leaf talk.

  3. kinda throws a wrench into the goaltending controversy/solution…but it's gotta be tough playing goal for a team that has a hard time generating scoring chances.

  4. Ima just steal some dialogue from Steve dangle that sums up the flames season so far: AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Source is the 10-7 LFR Redwings game

  5. Well at least this year the fight for the final Eastern wild card spots have gotten a lot more interesting with now even the Wings throwing their hat into the ring.

  6. Flames need to realise the real reason Gaudreault and Tkachuk left is they didn't want to play for Sutter.
Now, we have Huberdeau and Sutter …
The moment Calgary moves to a new coach…. Then you'll see both Huberdeau and Kadri becoming productive .

  7. Yzerplan coming to fruition. Go all in at deadline. Lightning 2.0 on its way to the big show.

  8. I really don't understand why Kubalik has to fight for a place in the lineup even though he's got around 1 point per game…
