I would say that only injuries late in the season or playoffs should prevent them from going on a deep playoff run.
I was worried about them about their start. They lost to Anaheim and Chicago in regulation badly. Igor hasn't been the same this year, and Halak has paid dividends. If the offense is there in the playoffs and can score 5+ regularly, no one stops them

I don't think avs should be that favored. Nichuskin can be reinjured at any time. The west is very close. I think overall though the east is totally ahead of the west
As a team they have shown quality success now saying that the season did not begin on a positive. I don't think the Rangers are playing for first overall but from what i have seen they played the top teams well enough to win it all and after last season this will be their quest and don't be surprised if players that have not scored goals during the season will flourish and lookout Igor will score .

I watch every Lightning game. I also watch every Ranger game. This year at this point with 29 games to the playoffs it's the Rangers in six over the Lightning. Youth will trump experience this year. But, we still are a long way to the playoffs and injuries can make the difference…
