  1. If the Leafs were smart, they'd correctly assume they're not going anywhere again this year and bank their draft picks for once.

  2. Kane should sit the rest of the season out and get healthy. Become a free agent and choose his destination. I’m sure Kane is still a top guy

  3. I don’t want Kane. They already have a younger version of him. Give me Toews instead. Leadership, fearlessness, defense, face offs, penalty kill. That’s what they need

  4. They need some nasty grit for any playoff success like a Brad Marchand NOT yet another dipsy-doodle nobody.

  5. This just reminds me of last year's trade rumors of JT Miller going to NYC. Thank god that didnt happen.

  6. Every year we ask for grit and haven't won anything. Chychrun and Kane are huge upgrades over Sandin and kerfoot.

  7. We need somebody to fill in Muzzins void he left when he got hurt. Leafs have plenty of offence. They shouldn’t trade for karlsson either

  8. My greatest happiness is the $36,730 weekly profit I get consistently from Sharon Dickson brokerage platform. I'm so happy to have keep into this opportunity.

  9. Regardless of what some may say, they need a younger, decent, forward that can become the face of the Leafs if Matthew's leaves at the end of next season, which is a real possibility. They need to trade Kerfoot, Holl and Engvall. With that cap space, and the cap from Muzzin, it should be plenty to pick up a decent defenseman and a good forward, but the players either need to have time left on their contract or actually be willing to sign long term. No more rentals as it never works out. Either way, Betteman will decide who wins and it won't be the Leafs, he'll make damn sure of that.

  10. Look, I like Kane, and he has phenomenal skill, but he is not worth moving pieces for at this juncture in his career. Toronto needs to focus on suring up defense and goaltending.

Even taking him for free with no contract isn't worth it as he would disrupt great lines already in place.

And this is to no fault or inadequacies on his part aside from his age and position.

Maybe the Jets would be a better landing spot for him depending on their cap. He needs to be more flexible on teams he is willing to go to as well.

  11. Hot take but maple leafs are a broken franchise with a horrible fan base that throws themselves into every conversation with no cap at all

  12. If Kane wants to come to Toronto then he can come in the offseason on a cap friendly contract., to me that's the only thing that works and makes sense.

  13. If kane wants to go to toronto then hawks will ship him to toronto for less, like what philly did for giroux. Leafs can probably get kane for what tarasenko just got traded for.
    to hawks: 2023 1st round pick + 2023 3rd Round pick
to leafs: kane (75% salary retained with 3rd team)
    Leafs can make it work.
If a player like kane becomes avaliable and he wants to come to toronto, bring him to toronto.

    bunting-tavares-marner
good luck beating the leafs with that top 6, they will win the cup.

  14. no Kane and not Timo Meir either. I know he plays on San Jose, I get it, but still, when a player scores at almost a point a game pace and is a minus 16, not trusting his game.
