Last year the Oilers came back to defeat the Rangers after trailing 4-1 in Edmonton. This year the Rangers pulled the reverse with the comeback win. And also a reverse of the game in New York earlier this year.

  2. geesusway

I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THIS‼️‼️‼️

  3. ridgeraider21

Laffy is really coming into his own. It’s so exciting to watch. Fuck everybody who has shat on him, kid is still growing up.

  4. Glock19s

Wish tarasenko got that last goal, he needs it

  5. geesusway

Never doubted this team😌 (yes I did but that’s behind me now)

  6. Teknicsrx7

Anyone else notice Laf seems to have improved his speed?

  7. terithegreat

Thinking about the dude here who said he was traveling to all 3 games this week. I hope you’re having a hell of a night after that win, man. Drink one for all of us in Edmonton!

  8. Spidey5292

Daily stupid thing that doesn’t matter but is annoying me: How are two oilers the stars of a game they lost?

  9. HoyasRangers

I wanted Igor out. Good for GG tonight. Glad it worked.

  10. ItsHeadbangerG

    COMEBACK COMPLETE!

After that first period Shesty said “больше не надо” and by god did he fucking mean it. No Quit. Now that I’m nice and light-headed I’m going to lie down and try to relax my nervous system before I burst into flames.

    See ya tomorrow…oyy.

  11. homiej420

I think that shootout aged me about 10 years

  12. FatahRuark

Rangers vs. Oilers Cup Final would be off the hook.

  13. Freddy-Sez

I cannot believe the Rangers won this game. Wtf. I don’t want to get crazy here but damn that was impressive

  14. Man that was fun. You could feel the confidence oozing in that 2nd and 3rd period and OT. Chytil so close, he could have had a pair, easy.

  15. Ok_Mud_3985

I said here we come after the first goal

  16. therealhughman

A win is a win. LETS FUCKING GO RANGERS!!!!

  17. ebarossa

TO ALL THE NON-BELIEVERS… ANYBODY CAN BE BEAT!

  18. legend1124

Holy fuck what a game. Igor and the rest of the team really rallied and came out a different team after the first.

Also fuck Draisaitl for winding up and taking a slapshot from the hash marks in the shootout. Chickenshit move right there

  19. Keizman55

Only 1 point behind where we after 55 games last year, yet I feel better about this team.
23 more goals scored, unfortunately, 11 more given up. Still, improvement. I think Tarasenko is going to get into a groove and we’ll be off, like a loose brassier.
Defense not quite as lock down early in games as they should be, but offense and defense starting to control play. Shesty sharp enough to win, but doesn’t need to stand on his head quite as much. If he gets hot in the playoffs, I really like our chances again.

  20. RIP to those of you that said you were shutting it off and going to bed in the first period.. you missed a hell of a comeback!

  21. WheresBubba

Such a good sign seeing this team comeback like that. There’s going to be so much adversity in the playoffs given how stacked the East is and to know that this team can gather themselves and pull off a comeback win like that is amazing. LFGR

  22. RhesusMonkey17

Can we please win a a game like 7-1 or something? I don’t know how much more of these butt-clenching games my heart can take.

  23. jtlimbo17

This team absolutely carves up teams with shit defenses. It’s truly like a form of art.

  24. humorousMora

Sure glad I couldn’t see this due to espn blacking me out in Massachusetts

  25. barbwire2u

Watching the postgame interviews from the locker room. It looks like a 70s paneled basement

  26. TheIncredibleHork

You know what, I was [oddly confident](https://nm.reddit.com/r/rangers/comments/114wsv3/game_thread_new_york_rangers_32148_at_edmonton/j8znj4a/) we were gonna pull this off. They pants’d us in the Garden last time, and we were going to return the favor.

Igor was off in the beginning, but after that first period he was perfect straight to the shootout, the rest of the team hunkered down and made it happen, defensively and offensively. The kids are buzzing and will not be denied. PP1 is back in business. This team is special, they mean business.

  27. jalenramsey_20

wish i could be watching these games recently. anyway, we look good!

Game of the Year? Maybe? But WHAT A COMEBACK! (To McDavid) “Nets that way bud.” After a first period where I thought and maybe every Ranger fan thought the Oilers probably were gonna blow them out of the water, the Rangers, in the second period helped spring board the unbelievable comeback. I’ll admit it, after the first, I expected Turk to pull Igor. Glad he didnt. Stood on his head. Kept this team in the game after an awful 1st period. As stated before, 1st period was AW FUL. Cant take penalties against the Oilers. Just cant. This team kept clawing back into to this game. Looked like it wasnt gonna be the Rangers night the way Campbell was playing. BUT a key piece to the comeback was the shorthanded goal by no other Christopher James Kreider. Kreids is climbing up the all time goal scorer list in franchise history. 2 goals from Kreids including (whispers “It’s a power play goal!”) Laf scoring plus Mika scoring (whispers again, “It’s a power play goal!”). Another 30 goal season for Mika. the 3 on 3 ot was epic, the penalty kill was so nerve racking, the shootout, was a unbelievable!

The Oilers man, defensively idk how their gonna go far if they get in. People saying wasting Henrik’s prime was bad, what the Oilers are doing to Draisaitl and McDavid is the biggest crime. THE BIGGEST.

Hearing what Gallant said, “there was no quit in this team.” Turk was right. Good job Turk. Fox continues to pick up apples and points. Happy Birthday Foxy! Bread continued to produce. I love it.

All in all. With the Devils loss on Thursday, this was a HUGE, HUGE, WIN. One point behind them. Gotta keep up the pace. 7 wins in a row(right?) Team continues to buzz since the helmet throw game. Rangers win! Got the 2 points. As they are also important now. Onto Calgary. God Save the King. Back afta dis.

  29. geesusway

You know the game is good when you can’t stand up straight after and immediately feel like you’re gonna vomit

  30. oliverseasky

Didn’t get to watch the game. Can someone tell me how Tarasenko looks? How does he only have 2 points to show for the last 23 goals?

  31. Oilers score 4 in the first and end up with still only 4 after a shoot out. Say what you will about the great comeback and how the Ranger skaters played their hearts out… but in my book the Rangers don’t have a chance in this game without Shesty having ice in his veins.

  32. toxicvegeta08

Hot ish take:I just want an easy cup after we beat the east I’d want to steamroller the west to end the season

  33. chachi415

This team is special. They got a long road to go and a tough eastern conference, but no team scares me in 7. LGR

  34. Again, just a bystander but I’m checking in to see if the kid line still fucks, I’m deeply invested at this point
