Just food for thought: Ryan O'Reilley was the MVP of the playoffs and won the Stanley Cup as a Associate Captain of the St. Louis Blues in 2019 vs. The Boston Bruins. Yup. Tell me the Maple Leafs aren't getting better with a purpose. Bruins now have a problem: they can't beat the Hurricanes and now the Maple Leafs are an issue.
It's a somewhat risky move but they need to go for it this year. Do or die.

Acciari is top 10 in hits this year. He seems like a solid grinder. The fact that he's 209 pounds at only 5'10" means he has a lot more muscle than the average player; a taller guy at the same weight has more of his weight made up by non-muscle mass.

I'm excited to see what O'Reilly will bring for us. I know that he's a pretty good 2-way forward.
It definitely makes the team better, but I don't think it addresses the most glaring weakness on the team.
