Guess we found the missing links for beating the Habs this year.

Thought the two new additions had solid games, especially being fresh off the plane and not practicing with the team. Looking forward to watching them for the rest of the season and into the playoffs.

Nice game from Woll as well.

  2. JonJonFTW

Finally we beat the Habs as badly as we should.

  3. think_long

Good debut for O’Reilly. Woll was very solid too, although I didn’t like all the times they got behind our D. Nylander looking like an absolute superstar out there. Making stuff happen almost every shift night after night. That stat about him being on pace for the best goal-scoring year by a Swede in 20 years that they casually dropped into the broadcast isn’t getting enough attention. You can see why Engvall frustrates coaches. Play like that every night! It’s the difference in a million bucks extra a year. Do you not want a million dollars more? I don’t want to be too negative after a night where the vibes are the best they’ve been in a while, so I’ll try to phrase this positively: I really hope this acquisition allows Tavares to make more of a consistently positive impact. We need him to be a difference maker.

  4. eagleboy444

Sexy game. Sexy team. Sexond round? Please! The year??? PLEASE!

  5. AnyStormInAPort

Looking good, let’s see the momentum carried into CHI!

  6. siddysid

So I’m thinking the float should start at the CN tower, get down front and then head up University. Maybe a right on Dundas then? What are y’alls thoughts?

  7. Darkenmal

A convincing win. Hopefully this continues against teams we should be beating.

  8. Svalbard38

I liked ROR tonight, but Acciari was the one who really impressed me. I hope he can keep bringing what he brought tonight.

  9. All four lines contributed. Lineup felt very solid.

  10. sluck131

I forgot they can play like this. O’Reilly acquisition went straight to their legs

  11. GrazedByMyMeatloaf

Well I’m pretty happy with what I saw tonight

  12. I don’t want to overreact to one game, but we’re definitely winning the cup

  13. Chowderau93

This was defs one of the more complete games the leafs have played this year, good to see that the new additions look pretty good so far.

  14. Otherwise_Volume2690

Imagine ROR and Accari with some rest?! They landed in Toronto this afternoon.

  15. allora92

Seeing Tavares and O’Reilly sit next to each other on the Leafs bench is surreal. Then you remember we’ve got Matthews, Marner, and Nylander too.

    Great game. Go Leafs Go.

  16. Jakovasaurr

ROR- 12-2 on draws, second line center ror

  17. War_Messiah

Feels good to finally shit kick the habs.

  18. Volderon90

Huge win. Went down early and then said, nope, not gonna happen and then took it to them. After the first Montreal really had nothing

  19. There’s a special place in hell to the guy with the shitty go leafs go sign during the last few minutes of the game blocking a bunch of the broadcast

  20. O’Reilly and Acciari both looked good and it’s always a good night when the Habs lose, Go Leafs Go!

  21. HeckingAugustus

Hell of a performance by Bunting tonight. Glad he was able to get a jump on the “Does Bunting still fit in the top 6 with ROR here” talk

  22. 4th line chips in 2 goals for the new look Leafs. fuckin ‘eh

  23. The real top 6 winger was the centers we met along the way

  24. RealCanadianDragon

Kampf and Acciari combined for 12 hits tonight.

The Leafs as a team average under 22 a game going into this.

    I think Acciari is helping.

  25. PrimoThePro

That cheer when O’Reilly got his assist and it was announced was precious!

  26. No_Promise_6353

What kind of ufa dman is available for under 5m if we ship out Kerfoot and holl?

  27. Justin_Holl_The_Best

    Really, really fucking good game.

Also, ROR is the personality this team needs for post-game interviews (and perhaps will bring fun back to the actual game). Matthews and Tavares could learn a thing or two

  28. eagleboy444

What a well-spoken interviewee O’Reilly is!! So refreshing. Anyone else just automatically gravitate towards athletes who look like they care about giving the best answers they can for the fans watching even if the questions can be stupid? Love this guy already.

  29. Loved having Ryan O’R on the post-game interview, but was anyone else unable to unhear the whistle?

  30. lmaoleafs2022

Please keep hall and Oates as our goal song

    It is making habs fans S E E T H E

  31. The_Dale_Hunters

Convincing win. Everyone played pretty good to excellent.

  32. Thorlius

Gotta love a result like that, when you’re clearly balancing minutes in anticipation for the second half tomorrow. Only Rielly played over 20m tonight. ZAR played the least with 12m. They rolled all four and still rolled over the Habs. The depth looks very promising, now.

  33. re-verse

Anyone remember 24 hours ago when the only real light on the horizon we had was patty kane?

  34. Intelligent_Chair901

Wasn’t able to catch the game. How did ROR look in between Marner and JT?

  35. Francis33

    Kampf was on BEAST mode

Matthews. Engvall. Bunting. Sandin. Woll. Cracked.

We actually outhit a team. Wtf

  36. In the off season we need Mitch, ROR and JT to film a buddy road trip movie. Actually bring Sammy along too! Gotta have smiles! Oh and Bunting for comic relief.

  37. ChungusSpliffs

Am I the only one thinking its so weird (but so glad) to have Acciari on this team when he was always on the Bruins teams that fucked us every year back in the day?

  38. SmokeontheHorizon

From now on, the only trades I want to see are off-the-radar trades less than 24 hours before a game so that I don’t have time to overthink myself into a sulk.

Please let tonight be a sign of things to come.

  39. bubbabear244

As I commented in the pregame thread, tonight isn’t a good night for being a habs fan if you’re watching hockey or wrestling.

  40. Jumbofato

Did JT and ROR ever play together in their junior days?

  41. howsshegoin

was anyone else concerned with O’Reillys foot speed and inability to move the puck? it just looked like such an awkward fit and gave me major foligno vibes that were quite frankly terrifying

I thought acciari also had problems keeping up and didn’t seem like a natural fit for the keefe system. engvall was stronger than both.
