Hard to see fabbro worth much except maybe a 1-1 change of scenery type swap. but hey i’m glad they’re selling and hopefully they don’t just waive him this time

Another 1st rounder pissed away, but Lauzon got that contact? Don’t like it.

I would love to lose Fabbro for any sort of return

Man y’all are wild. Gotta make a new post for every goal Tolvy scored after he was waived but then so quick to give up on Fabbro. Fabbro is only 9 months older than Tolvanen.

Can’t believe this fan base has given up on him already.

Thank god. Fabbro blows. We should have traded him instead of Girard.

What about Fabbro for Casey Mittelstadt (BUF)? Could be a win for both teams.

Kravtsov on the rangers is mildly interesting and the rangers are looking to trade him. I’d say Fabbro is better so maybe if the rangers can throw something else minor in?

Not against getting some picks, but I like Fabbro. He’s not nearly as bad as people pretend he is.

  9. Last name better start with an E and end with a M

Is part of the thought that they think they can get comparable play from someone that’s been spending most of their time with us, and can flip for some scoring supplementation? Gross/Gravel/McKeown? Or are they going to give Del Gaizo or Statsney some run?

Preds management realizing a year or two late that it’s time for a rebuild. Ekholm as a rental at 3.75m last year was a very movable asset, but with 3 additional years at 6.25m there is likely a lot less interest in him this year. Forsberg also could have collected a nice haul of assets and you still could have signed him as a FA, albeit for 7 instead of 8 yrs.

Based on contract status I’d think the most likely pieces moved this year in order are Fabbro, Lankinen, Trenin, and Niederreiter. However I wouldn’t expect more than 1 or 2 of those to actually happen. Realistically due to term left on contracts I think we are still 2 years from the start of an opportunity for a real teardown of the roster when we can move Johansen, Granlund, and Saros as rental pieces and then the next year have a firesale by moving Duchene, Sissons, McDonagh, Ekholm, and Lauzon. It’s time to face it, we are likely on the verge of a couple years of mediocre to bad hockey in Nashville. I just hope that the team can turn things around in time so we don’t fully waste the end of Forsberg and Josi’s careers.
