  1. Having watched Luke Schenn during his entire time in Vancouver, he’s the best bang for buck in the entire league. Sadly, he’s not as fast as he used to be and the rest of the team can’t defend at all. You’ll be disappointed if you’re expecting him to be a full time Top 4 going into the playoffs, but as a #5 who can play top 4 in a pinch and has a ton of experience, physicality and defensive awareness, you can’t do much better. And he’d probably go for a 3rd or a conditional 2nd. He’s very low risk, high reward.

  2. You know it won't be anyone from the Sharks. That franchise is so delusional with their asking prices.

  3. After watching Holl fumble yet again, I think it's time to replace him with anyone. He's gonna cost this team a series.

  4. Once again the only thing that matters is the Leafs and the eastern teams. But what you expect from the Toronto Sports Network…
    Big Flush

  5. Wonder what the leafs will get for Matthews next year? If he’s a dud again in the playoffs, you’re never going to be able to trade him for much…..boy,is he fragile…..saw that again against the powerful Habs last night…….at least, he redeemed himself against Chicago eh? What?

  6. Schenn he adds grit Playoff experience and is having a great year as a Top 4 D man in Vancouver. A 2nd or 3rd as return in 2023 or 24 Draft.

  7. Yes, possibly Max Domi but it might cost them knies. I do see Holl on the potential trade block.

  8. The definition of “ALL IN” is pushing ALL your chips in and RISKING it ALL

Leafs have to get a solid defenceman to replace Holl he needs to be gone we have Timmins now who can also pinch and get caught

  9. It's desperation time in Toronto. If they don't go far in the playoffs, what happens when Matthews signs with Detroit after his contract runs out at the end of next season?

  10. IMo Kane will be like what Carolina did grabbing Pacioretty and that is a team looking for that added scorer to help turn a 3-4 7 game loss into a 4-3 7 game win. Also imo Kane will not do much to help any team outside of adding a goal here and there he has not been playing much like a complete or high paid player but much more like a second or third line player.
I thought St.Louis was absolutely nuts to eat that much of Tarasenk'os contract and virtually get nothing because it is the cap hit that matters in the NHL money often means more than the player because w/o cap space you don't have that player.Do your homework St>louis management and you will see 90% of the time a low first round pick is a non impact player so St.Louis has done NOTHING to rebound this team in the future. They should have requested a couple prospects because make no mistake Toronto is trying to buy a last minute winner by adding a high level player.St>louis management is like ….ok here you go and we will help you pay for that p2w player ..lmao if i was the Blues owner i would be livid.

  11. Leafs keep repeating history. These additions won't help the team come playoff time. Even if they win the first round, they won't beat Boston. O'Reilly is a guy who's on the decline, and you trade futures. Leafs are digging themselves into another long decade of despair. Once Mathews leaves, the whole organization will fall back into basement dwellers in the NHL. You can't build a team of overpaying guys on their decline. There is a reason teams let those guys go… Tavares, O'Reilly, kerfoot, brodie, etc. The karma is there when all they have left is Tavares, and the day the leafs dug themselves into this grave was when they overpaid Tavares.
