Just thought this would be interesting to share. We are pretty blessed in MO to have teams that consistently make the playoffs so when we stop to retool/rebuild think about how many other franchises don’t even make the playoffs.

Sad that we likely won’t make it this year
Half the NBA has made 7+ of last 10…… sheesh.

This will mark the 10th time the Blues have missed the playoffs; 7th since 2000. I believe. I am no numberologist. Not too shabby.

One point away from 10/10
Gotta stay competitive, keeps good players around who want to win and augment with the players we draft in the later rounds of the draft. We’ve had, IMO, immense success drafting later in the draft. Look at our record over the years and where we’ve drafted. Sucking can seep into an organization throwing it into chaos with multiple coach, GM, and player turnover which leads to inconsistency.
Inconsistency will then lead to poor play on the ice and a non-competitive team. Could take awhile to dig the organization out of that. Look at the Coyotes, Oilers, Senators, Sabres, etc over the past few years. Sure some of those teams are out of the funk, but how long did that take? Only to not win any cups, yet.
