  1. Blowing is not good, pretty sure they know that, but I feel for the guys cause I think they played good enough to win that game, but the goalie can't stop shit, but Campbell did play alright but those are goals he needs to save.

  2. So very, very frustrating. This team does not know how to build on success. They're very happy with a moderate level of achievement, and then they disappear. That is not a sign of good things to come.

  3. What is wrong with the Oilers ! they have a chance to sign EK 65, he may be expensive but how much extra money are you going to make by winning Stanley cups .

  4. You know.. Everyone is giving Campbell the gears about not being able to stop a beachball… I realize that his entire career thus far has been streaky, but it's not like any other goaltender has come to Edmonton and found success. There is a larger problem in the Oilers organization that needs to be addressed when it comes to being between the pipes. The goalie coach. Just take a serious look at the netminders that have come and gone. Most of them moved onto other teams and found success under a different coach. And it was almost immediately noticeable.

  5. Things I believe that are over looked in this skid
    1) all star break taking away the momentum from the win streak
    2) I’m pretty sure we have has 4-7 goals go in off our own player. I know a goal is a goal, but it’s hard enough to blame a goalie for a goal off an opposing player/stick. It’s even more difficult (imo) to blame a goalie when it goes off someone who is suppose to be helping him keep it out of the net.
    3) I think the sickness running through the room has had major effects on the team weather we see it or not
I’m not saying oilers are fine or anything like that, we score 4 in a period and 0 the next two, that’s not on our goalie.
I’d like to see a trade to help us get out of the Dzone
I think the oilers will manage to pull it together we just have to suffer a bit first sadly.

  6. The thing thats been the most infuriating part of Campbell's game is he takes FOREVER to get back up after a save.

Like bro STAND UP… stop flopping on the ice like a fish for 30 seconds everytime you go down.

  7. Looking at the Shire question. Did they not have a couple guys go down with illness and Kane missed? So they needed a body for sure. Makes you wonder if they could have brought up Holloway? Desharnais and Kostin were sick… I think? Been frustrating last few games and we are leaving points on the ice for sure. Campbell loses focus sometimes and loses the puck a lot. Looking at the D core, we need to move people out of the way! He gets screened so much, so much. His save % is not good and he does look out of position a lot, not as bad as Mike Smith but still. That goal where his pad was up against the post? He looked lost, but it looked like the player pushed his pad in. I thought it should have been reviewed.

  8. 2-9 in OT / shootout this year. With our talent how do we not win every OT? I think a shootout loss to Philly I believe also? Possible 9 more points but let’s say 6. Two of those games were this week. MTL game was at the end of a road trip and the second of a back to back. But it’s MTL that shouldn’t matter. Colorado had played the night before and we had a three goal lead twice, so no chance that game should go to OT. Did not watch Rangers game, not on in Ontario which was a bummer. Took the Habs too lightly. Jack Campbell won all those games become we scored a lot of goals and bad teams. We need to look at matchups more closely. Need Campbell to turn it around.

  9. O’Reilly would have been a tremendous add. Grit, toughness, scoring and size. What we need! In that deal goes Jesse P, Janmark, some Bakersfield picks? Or draft picks. I don’t like these Karlsson rumours. We need Barrie and Nurse to step up their point scoring and get that rollling. Kulak, Ceci and Desharnais stay back, move bodies and win the in zone battles. Kulak looks like he’s got some grit to him for sure, so does Broberg. Are D is actually good, they just need ti buy into a system or something. They are getting better at lot letting opponents being behind the D.
