  1. Reminds me of when they were playing the Kings a few years back. Detroit ended up scoring afterward. Karma!!!!!!

But it all seriousness, it’s only reviewable if it directly leads to a goal.

  2. I have seen this exact thing happen around 6 years ago, at the Joe Louis. Someone shot, goalie saved and it sent into the same corner but went around the netting and launched back to someone for a breakaway the other way.

The Detroit fans near me, at first, were yelling that it was out, but since it dropped to a Red Wing, they were cheering and weren't calling for a stoppage of play anymore.

It was pretty funny, but it was only our section right behind the netting where it hit, that properly saw it. No refs saw it, no players saw it, only us fans behind the play… so I can see how it can be missed by a whole arena. I bet it was a similar reaction by the fans here too.

  3. By now i would have expected the NHL to install pressure sensitive netting to recognize when a puck has hit it or a specific camera pointed at the netting to show a clear picture when it does hit. Sigh….

  4. unless the puck gets out of the zone, it should be challengable.. I thought this was the whole point this year!!

  5. That happened to the Red Wings against the Kings a few years ago. They still haven't realized that it's easier to detect on a white mesh, nobody's fault but the Red Wings'.

  6. Happened to the Bruins in the playoffs last year and still not fixed. Yikes.
