  1. Problems that have HAVE been lingering ALL SEASON: Donny’s self-accountability, the penalty kill, and the team defense (not just d-men).

  2. lack of physicality will get him fired! Love him and the team but when will they hit and fight back??? Seems like culture that has to be there from the beginning, Im on my gaming chair so what do i know but itll be harder and harder to teach

  3. No shot getting scored on 5-0 through the first 2 periods could get worse. I cannot stand this coach why does this fan base like him??

  4. Idiots even mentioning this guy getting fired are dumb. We haven’t had a coach this competent and aware of how to coach a specific team in a decade. Just stop

  5. Why weren't the Sabres sharp? Weren't the boys told before the game that Toronto would be hyped up after the trade and come out hard? Weren't the boys told they need the points for a playoff push? Weren't they told that the building would be full of Leaf's fans? I'd like to think the Sabres were told by the coaches. Maybe they were looking at their iPhones.

  6. When a team isn’t afraid to get hit, they take every offensive chance possible. 3-0 before the Sabres even recorded a single shot… got run out of our own building by fans and by the opponent not even 10 minutes into the game.

  7. Key words…"if you give good players time and space"… Sometimes you must punish somebody in front of your net, even if it draws a penalty. There were numerous opportunities to flatten somebody in front of UPL, but it never happened…

  8. That start was embarrassing – once again. Playing in their own barn, coming out flat (again) and getting smoked by a rival = time for a wake up call. Maybe time for GM Adams to find a physical D man for a second round pick to take care of the slot area which has turned into a shooting gallery on the goalies. Skinner needs to stop his acting career and start playing with some intensity.

  9. Hate to break it to him but the problem has been lingering all year is a terrible defense. Inconsistent goaltending doesn’t help either especially when we haven’t been playing our best goalie which is Anderson

  10. I think the Leafs showed the Sabres what a playoff team looks like. I thought the Sabres looked like they were overmatched by a more talented opponent that was on top of it’s game. Much better team defense and a really elite goaltender are what they need to be a serious playoff contender. Let’s Go Buffalo!

  11. Team's defensive system has been non existent all season, to even think of blaming the goaltender who's being thrown to the wolves every game is definitely not the answers!
They are young and it will take time, however this defensive system that's in place has to be reevaluated and improved in order for this group to bring consistency nightly.
They have plenty of life and energy when they're on the offensive side of the puck, this needs to be evident on the defensive side also, which isn't happening consistently, they seem lost most times trying to defend.

  12. He’s not the right coach for our type of team. He’s a wimpy unaccountable coach. We need help on D and Adams is MIA. Another Buffalo team saying “there’s always next year…”

  13. Yes it was the first game back from a west coast trip and history shows that game is always a loss. That being said the defensive system and penalty kill have been a problem ALL SEASON LONG not just the past few games as Granato said! Also this team is WAY TOO SOFT! Soft in front of both nets, soft in the corners, and soft on the forecheck. They NEVER finish their checks! I hope Adams addresses this issue at the trade deadline!!!

  14. Deflate should just be anger. idc if half the team is suspended tomorrow. Don't give them time and space. Crush them. If were not going to win defeat them physically.

  15. It’s always “they’ll learn from it”. “We’ll come back stronger”. Blah, blah, blah. BUT THEY DON’T LEARN. NOTHING changes. SAME OLD, same old!!! “It’s not a problem that’s going to linger”. Ha ha ha ha ha ! What a farce!!

  16. Donny G even if they are sharp they are not physical and don't play great team defense they just score a lot and if you aren't scoring you have to be more intimidating… address this at the deadline and will be alright!

  17. A coach that never takes accountability is a coach that no team wants to play for

  18. Hmmm… over all, I'm still happy we are playing games of importance…
So…we gotta flush this and move on. Let's effing GO!!!

  19. UPL is so inconsistent it crazy, we have a top 5 scoring team with terrible goal tending, PERIOD it defeats the rest of the team they feel like they need 4-5-6 goals a game to win we need good goalies , if we had Miller or Hasak now we be competing for the presidents trophy!
