What does winterizing mean in this context? Aren’t football games already played during the winter?

It’s going to have to be winterized eventually for football, as the 12 team playoff is coming, meaning a possible later home game than Michigan.

I don’t understand winterizing the stadium. I’ve been to below freezing games there’s. I just don’t understand why if we play a game 2 months later then all of a sudden it’s an issue. Highschool football played the state championship there several years ago in December. Just do what needs to be done

What a bunch of bologna. They’re gonna have to winterize anyway with the expanded playoff. This is just OSU wanting someone else to pay for their upgrades.
