[Weekes] I’m told Arizona Coyotes are trading D Dysin Mayo to Golden Knights in exchange for 5th Rd Pick in 2023 and D Shea Weber (contract).

  1. Can’t believe we traded a legend like Shea Weber SMFH

Maybe I’m wrong but this could mean we’re trading away korczak in a deal. Mayo would replace him on the blue line in Henderson. We also get out of Weber’s LTIR which is huge.. idk. Getting excited

So at the very least, we’re still dealing with LTIR this season, but next season and in the future, we won’t be!

Definitely a trade. According to capfriendly, we have 8.75 million in cap space rn after the trade and I think this trade was to add that extra but of space. Not sure how exactly that works, but it’s what I’ve seen.

So I’d assume this means a big trade is coming.

This means we’re doing something splashy, btw.

This is good for us in terms of lowering that LTIR pool, and nice that we can acquire essentially a defenseman in exchange for a 5th rounder! I like this move a lot!

Now we just need to acquire players named Ketchup and Mustard and we can have a Sauce line.

  8. Well, considering what we got for our last 5th round pick. This guy is about to become a perennial Norris finalist, right?

Incoming splash.. who else thinks it’s Kane?

  10. Wait…so, did we just dump Weber’s contract off the books? How the hell did Kelly pull that one off? Actually , this is pretty freakin good news

Can someone explain how this helps us? Weber was already on LTIR so he doesn’t affect the cap, right?
