  1. Still think Wawa has a better chance of making the Habs, but i have to admit Kidney stone has been on fire, let's see what he will do, in the next level.

  2. Thanks to Trevor Timmins we have several young prospects from the later rounds, like Roy and Farrell. Good scouting!
    Where is Trevor these days?

  3. You wanna develop your young players make them Play 20 minutes plus in Laval.
That's what a development team is for and if the Rocket can become a real good team and make it far in the playoffs it will only boost their confidence and be ready for the NHL step.

  4. we have so much talent in the system, makes me want to watch more laval rocket games (should have been called the laval rapids…puck dropped there.)

  5. I must admit that I had 100% FORGOTTEN about that pick lol!
    Looking good man!

Unless it is for a superstar center drafted this year or an interchangeable 1a/1b center with Suzuki, like PLD (we may already have one in the system or in Dach, too early to tell) , I think WE'RE GOOD for that position going forward lol. We're going to have many many options at the bottom six center positions, that's for sure.

Honestly, if we do not turn up drafting a generational talent like Bedard, I could REALLY see MTL getting a more "team oriented" identity, with 4 productive lines. Sure, the 1st ans 2nd lines will have more minutes than the 4th, but I'm talking about a smaller gap than with most other teams. Such well balanced teams with GREATS players but no "superstars" per se frequently manage to win the cup. You obviously don't NEED a McDavid or Bedard to lift the cup, and team cohesion might be hockey's most important factor compared to other team sports (i.e. other sports where "stars" get to play during 3/4 of a game's duration instead of 1/3 or less in hockey).

  6. I would love to see a third line of Ferrell, Kidney and Roy next year on the Habs to start the season and go from there.

  7. Harvey-Pinard is a prime example of why spending a few years in the AHL is great for development

  8. I was at the Gatineau game vs Cape Breton over the weekend. Kidney plays on the same line as Alexis Gendron – who scored 5 goals in that game and equalled a franchise record. (Too bad he's a Flyers prospect). Kidney did look good though.

  9. our picks not in Montreal are looking great for the future.. Kidney, Hutson, Mesar, Mailloux, Roy , Farrell, Beck, Dobes just to name a few are looking great for the rebuild… gotta say we have a heck of a lot of great prospects and I know I musta missed a few…. I doubt any other team can match that bunch or the caliber of them

  10. I think riley will have hard time getting its game to the nhl because from what I see all of the points he put on the scoreboard are because he recognizes the other team's defensive errors and takes advantage of them but I guess there are a lot less of these situation in the NHL I actuly want him to step up in his overall game then only his offensive one. High Iq player do not always have the hand with it But keep an eye on him very intersting production!

  11. Junkie!!! make a video on who do you think will turn pro at the end of their current season and head to Laval for a playoff run? The list is long this year. There are CHL, NCAA, European players that should do it.
I think Mailloux, Beck, Roy, Kidney, Mesar, Davidson, Hopefully Farrell, Dobes and Hutson, and possibly Engstrom.
They all can't play for Laval but I'm sure whoever is out and available will get a shot in practice to make the lineup down the stretch and in the playoffs. Some might even get a chance in the NHL. That is a smaller list. Do that one after!!

  12. The Habs aren't short on Centers prospects and he's one guy I hope to see in the lineup one day. The only downside is I don't know where he'll play. Dach and Suzuki are top 2 and Beck's going to probably play on the third line. I don't see Kidney playing on the 4th line in Montreal. So I guess time will tell where he fits if he's NHL ready…

  13. Kidney is kind of an Underdog, like you said he performed in the shadow of Roy in the Q last year then he hasn't play much in World Junior being Injured early in tournament he played 3 official game with a Total of 0 point but was playing in bottom line not top minutes because sadly for him Canada had alot of talent on the team 🙂 ! Roy was #1 in points last year in the Q league, Kidney managed to still be top10 being ranked 7th ! It is encouraging to see that Kidney still produce this year and is looking better and better, now we will just have to see if he does good in AHL and how he will perform at next camp !

  14. I really love how this channel keeps us up to date on our prospects too in an entertaining way. I’d never get a look at this kid otherwise without reading some boring prospect article.
