On the bright side, this team showed in those last few minutes that they can, in fact, win faceoffs when they want
Something I found interesting last year was when Bellemare said in an interview that during the regular season they were testing out all kinds of different systems and it causes them to lose games because of experimentation. Does this explain why they’re playing like dog ass right now? Possibly.
Playoffs are all that matters and now is the time to get the shit out of their system. Not in April.
Why are we so “bad” now?

One team played like their playoff lives depended on it, the other played on cruise control for a good majority of the game.

We’ve played like ass right after a trade the last 4 seasons now.. all part of the plan? Not jumping to any conclusions about the trade even after this performance. Give it time.
Every year right before the playoffs we seem to hit a losing streak.. but so many variables and I do believe like someone else said , Coop is making adjustments to see what fits but because of the tight schedule, it’s not feasible to always work it out in practice, so it’s on the ice and our bolts need to execute better and adapt.. We will be ready when playoffs come around . Just some kinks to work out ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
I’m hoping the team is just trying to coast to the postseason and not get injured. Because we have no depth left and an injury to a key player will be death
Despite this rather chaotic week, It’s really nice to see a sports subreddit like us where there aren’t really any doomers. The rays subreddit is absolutely full of them, but it kinda makes sense because the bolts are a winning team.
