the thing to me he said that was the most important is he wanted to keep 1 salary retention heading into the draft.

Then later on mentions the trades he did at the draft.

A bit of a disappointing day but the players didn’t really help there value at all and wasn’t much to be done here’s hoping for a good draft and maybe good trades then.

I really like what Hughes said in regards to Gurianov.

I think it shows that they’re making decisions seriously and not just making trades just because they can or because other teams are making big trades this year. They looked into Gurianov and felt that they could put him in a position better than Dallas did. Love it. If we keep improving our player development, maybe one day, news will get around the league enough to the point where more and more players want to come play here.

  3. Stellar work as usual, Pengu. It doesn’t get said often enough 🤗

    It’s a weird spot.

The only real disappointment is not moving Monahan. But we also already got paid for Monahan.

If he likes it here, maybe he comes back for a year and maybe we run it back next deadline.

Edmundson can be moved next year or he plays out the next 20 games and is moved at the draft.

Honestly I feel like sending Slaf for the WC might not be a bad idea. He missed a lot of hockey.

Guess the risk of re-injury would be high for the same reason though.
