  1. Will Montreal be the next Canadian team to win the cup? Also on a side note, this is the longest I have spent on a video since starting this channel. Hope you enjoy!

  2. This is a stunning video. So much research put into this to prove the point. There is hardly ever anything like that to watch on TSN. I will subscribe.

  3. There's no secret agenda or other conspiracy theories, it's obvious and simple.
You lose your #1 player (Price) who stole many games during his +10 seasons career with us.
And you also lose your captain, Weber.
    Just this is enough.

  4. The habs were in 24th place during the covid playoffs. If it was a real year the habs wdv watched on t v. They stank then and they still ๐Ÿคง stink.

  5. It's called goaltending. That's how a team can go from being a cup contender, and the next year being the bottom of the league, goaltending and a shitload of injuries.

  6. Bergy was with his friends… he made a big dinner a week before he got ๐Ÿฅพ during that dinner he gave his friends a nice gift… couple… i mean A LOT of millions for his good friends… HE LOVE them!! And they love him!! At the end of the dinner… bergy has more millions for Phil… so Phil took his pizza slice and move on to LA…

  7. RE: "if your team is rebuilding". That wasn't the plan when they got Dvorak. The rebuild happened to the Habs when they fell apart in Fall of 2021. I remember clearly what the conversation was like when KK was offer sheeted, and every Smart Pundit said they should go get Dvorak. It's easy to criticize in hindsight but we didn't know at the time just how bad it would be. As for Danault, he had already made up his mind to leave. Montreal would have had to overpay to keep him.

  8. Slafkovsky is not a center and the Habs were not rebuilding when they traded for Dvorak. They had just been to the finals and nobody would have predicted the season that they were about to have. They had to replace Kotkaniemi and Danault to remain competitive.

  9. You completely messed up the Danault and Kotkaniemi timelines. Danault walked in free agency BEFORE KK got an offer sheet, how do you expect Bergevin to know that the Canes would pull off the offer sheet move so that he could sign Danault before and keep the compensation draft picks?

  10. Grest vid but as a Habs fan you got the timeline a bit wrong. For example at 8:35 , Habs werent in rebuild mode at the time, it was the off season just after the cup run. Price and Weber's health status were unclear so Bergevin and the fanbase thought the team could at least make the playoffs, but without Danault and KK our center depth needed help. The season went to shit, everyone got injured and then new management decided to rebuild so in hindsight the Dvorak trade wasnt good. Credit to Bergevin who protected our pick so AZ got Carolina's instead, I can live with missing on Bystedt. Dvorak doesnt have a bad contract and is a reliable centerman which is always valuable.

As a habs fan im really excited for the future, new management's approach is very refreshing and its the most hopeful about our team's future Ive ever been

  11. Let's not give too much credit to Bergie and Timmins for the Suzuki-Pac trade. They wanted Cody Glass, not Suzuki. Vegas refused to give up Glass so Bergie "settled" for Suzuki and it obviously worked out great for the habs. But just imagine if Vegas had accepted the original offer by the Habs….ouch……kinda reminds me when the Habs drafted Price 5th overall in 2005. Gainey and Timmins had Benoit Pouliot in mind but Minnesota drafted Pouliot 4th so the Habs had to "settle" for Price lol….Also, Slafkovsky is a left wing, not a center.

  12. Habs were not yet in rebuild when they traded for Dvorak… they had just lost in the final and taught they would make the playoffs again.

  13. Youโ€™re missing some context here, the habs wanted to keep danault he had previously rejected roughly the same deal LA gave him. The extension was offered to him mid season, it was his choice to go to free agency. Habs wanted to keep KK but the offer sheet was to steep. The reason they went and got Devorak for picks was they had just come off the run to the finals MB was not in rebuild mode yet he did not think the habs were about to tank.

  14. Holy crap hadn't made the connection. Fleischman and Weise turned into Daneault's good years and Dach … wow.

  15. People so in love with Hughes, he hasn't done anything yet, you're so big all slav and Hudson, but they might be busts. All draft picks look good at 1st, let's see in 5 years. Also, They had a the best chance landing bedard at the start of the season but screwed that so bad. And didn't really help the tank at the trade deadline. They are currently 7th in the draft. They messed it up, bedard would have been huge. For me that's just moronic and the new regime has been a fail because montreal should be in last this season and drafting bedard.

  16. The Habs would have played Tampa in the 1st round and would have lost in a non COVID season.

  17. The only reason Evans got the contract was for Bergevin to prove that he can draft and develop because there weren't many

    Free Agents:
    Alzner: Miss
    Chiarot: Hit

    FAIL: 2 hits, 3 misses

    Bad contracts:
    Drouin
    Gallagher
    Savard
    Hoffman
    Price
    Petry

    Addressing Center Need:
Took 10 years for Bergevin to have a #1 C. And it can be argued that Suzuki was a 1B at the time of firing. Didn't have a real #1 since Damphousse.

FAIL: Took 10 years to land a #1 Center, which he didn't draft and he wanted Glass instead of Suzuki. At least Hughes traded for Dach and took a chance on Monahan.

    Prospects Pool:
    Guhle
    Joshua Roy
    Mailloux
    Norlinder (being generous)
    Harris
    Xhekaj

    Struble
    Trudeau

    Kapanen

FAIL: Not enough top prospects in system to account for 9 years of work.

    ASSESSMENT:
Failed: Drafting, Addressing Center Need, Prospects, Contracts, Free Agents
    Passed: Trades

  19. I'm from Montreal, but I was never really a Habs fan. I grew up liking the Blues without even having a real reason and have followed them all my life. I always would joke around with my friends about the Habs being bad, that they'll never win anything, etc, but over time I have secretly become a huge fan of this team. Their young talent and team personality is really fun to watch and there's no doubt in my mind that they're going to be a powerhouse in the near future. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this team looks in like 3-4 years.

  20. Good video, however the Ottawa Senators are a couple years ahead of MTL in a similar way and thus are heavy favourites to be the next young Canadian team to win the Cup. Sorry Winnipeg and Toronto, but if you donโ€™t get it this year Ottawa will surpass you next year.

  21. sorry but look more like a hate speech then anythings else you didn't do your homework good ma men

  22. Brooooo I love so hard your TABARNAK ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Big love from the Quรฉbec Rob ! Keep going ! ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ‘Œ

  23. FYI, that Caufield Skybox Metal 1/1 hockey card sold for $55,000 CAD. Wish I pulled that card and sold it at that price. Yikes.

  24. 100k On the way!!! Love this episode. Great watch, thank you.
