Will Sharks get a good look at Kaapo Kahkonen by end of season?

With James Reimer and Adin Hill already under contract for next season, and with Kaapo Kahkonen set to be a restricted free agent this summer… will the Sharks want to get a really good look at Kahkonen before decisions have to be made?

  1. I really liked what I saw from Kaapo in that game against Colorado. That’s literally the best team in the league right there and he held them in it for a vast majority of the game. Like many games Reimer has played this season.. your goalie is doing his job when he’s giving you an opportunity to win the game. And Kappo has in his showings. The sharks really need more offensive help. That is the greatest need. You couple that the fact that they are still rotating through some young defensemen and it’s a tough situation. I think they should sign Kappo and let Reimers contract play out through next season. Give Kappo a good crack at maybe taking the starting role. Then around deadline time if Kappo has been able to do that move Reimer and bring up Sawchenko. Then you have a goalie tandem that is young and poised to backstop the team for the future. That’s what the sharks keep talking about… better in the future.
