The fact that Sandin has 5 points in two games and the Isles are seeing Engvall on the first line is a reality check on how Keefe coaches this team.
I know how frustrating it is boys, being a leafs fan for the last decade-this one and done in the playoffs thing. But try to remember how lucky we really are. I grew up a Whalers fan. Aside from '86 Adam's division Champs, we never had even a sniff of success. But the joy of beating the Bruins for example, even on a Tuesday night in January, that could carry me through a whole season of mediocrity. We are knocking on the door year after year. That's actually a GOOD thing. Our team is contending, knocking on the door. Keep the faith and we will cave that door (and the Bruins) in!
Would love to see a big bounce back game from Matthews. He obviously has the potential and ability to carry the team along with Mitch.
