Up until they completely mishandled Kane's allegations in 2015, I used to be a longtime Chicago fan. And then I was far from surprised when the Beach story broke last year. Anything bad that happens to Rocky Wirtz and his fellow criminals is fully deserved and will never be enough punishment.
But in the mid 90s and 2000's there were some truly abysmal teams. But even then, there was always some semblence of "Ah, THIS guy is the team's identity!" It definitely rotated a lot, from Zhmanov to Daze to Sullivan. Then you had the trio of Aranason, Calder, & Bell to be foolishly optimistic about. Then Tuomo Ruutu came along. But then came Havlat, Handzus, and Khabibulin. Of course, the Hawks were just always bad throughout, lol
So now I see what this current team is shaping up to be for next season? Holy crap, there is literally nobody on the roster with being excited about, lol. If they don't hit the lotto with Bedard, attendance is going to be lower than Arizona's.

The killer in this game was the Max Jones goal, assisted by Frank Vitrano, with 18 seconds left in the second period, which prevented the Hawks from going into the third period with a tie score and a good chance to win. With the absence of Patrick Kane, it seems the BH management is determined to take last place in the west and maybe the NHL which would win them 1st draft pick.
