Arizona Coyotes GM Bill Armstrong explains the team’s moves at the NHL trade deadline

Last week, Arizona Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong traded away Jakob Chychrun, Shayne Gostisbehere, Nick Bjugstad, Troy Stecher, Nick Ritchie, Cam Dineen and Jon Gillies and acquired Michael Kesselring, Brett Ritchie, Connor Mackey, Jakub Voráček’s contract and eight more draft picks. How does Armstrong assess the moves he made at the NHL trade deadline?

  1. Thank you GMBA. I see your vision and I’m excited to be a Coyotes fan and look forward to the future of the team.

  2. I’m drinking the Kool-Aid; Maybe too hopeful but my reading between the lines of GM BA (& his mood); HE wants to see who’s able to make this Team in the Fall from his drafted Players & he’s gonna surround them with the Players right guys to develop them (aka not planning on tanking) but see what they can do & monitor the situation aka “the organic approach” he references & maximize the team he has… makes you feel like if the Team is rolling, he’s prepared. If the Team isn’t there yet, he’s prepared… ALOT TO LIKE (again maybe to optimistic on next year’s team but without a 20game roadtrip to start the year who knows where the Yotes are sitting mid-way next year with Bear leading the Charge)

  3. I really do believe in GMBA and his vision. Hes got all the tight answers and his vision seems so clear. Im on board. And how awesome of him to drop by multiple times in a season for interviews. In GMBA we trust!

  4. Amazing interview, awesome that you guys were able to get Armstrong on so quickly after this crazy trade deadline. Great work guys.

  5. Finally a gm who has the support to do a rebuild properly. Wow. The future is bright. Remember this is the guy who passed on Wright… So far looks like it was a good move
