People knock Connor for his lack of passion during interviews, but how can anybody answer these braindead questions day after day without coming off as a lame-ass? These interviews are borderline cringy.
To beat that bruins team basically without any of our top guys producing is incredible. It’s gotta be a massive confidence boost for the team, especially the bottom 6 crew.
When they were high fiving at the end of the game i never seen Connor so happy since the playoffs and he didn’t even get a point the guy just wants to win. Beating one of the best regular season teams ever in their own barn really made him smile.. a lot.
That's the difference between locker room reporters with cell phones and pro anchor desk reporters with sports broadcasters. The cell phone reporters are completely unprepared with no research done whatsoever to ask reasonably intelligent and interesting questions for Connor, Leon or any pro athlete to answer. A perfect example of my point is a question that was asked a few days ago…. "Connor do you wish you were 6' 4". These are the questions that are beyond ridiculous and a waste of their time. On the other hand anchors with major broadcasters do their research i.e. numbers, percentages, news stories around the NHL, historical milestones, thought provoking topics that provide quality entertainment . Come on cell phone reporter guys, do a little work, a little research and ask some impactful questions that would be fun for them to respond to. These are not professional reporters asking professional questions. These are questions an 8 year old can ask.
