I remade the 2011 team on Chel! Tell me who’s too high or low, and also if I screwed up the lines.. it’s been a while

Should be ham/juice, and edler/ehrhoff, I think. Could argue that it should be Rome or Alberts over tanev on the 3rd line? I don’t remember when he slotted in but I think it was only because of injury.

  2. This team was goated, so sad they didn’t win the cup

    I’d say:

    -Daniel at 90

-Samuelson a bit higher, maybe 84 and I think he may have been 2nd line RW

-Rome, Ballard, or Alberts over Tanev

That’s just my opinion, though. Very well done.

Henrik could arguably be a 92 as he won the hart trophy that year, Malhotra i feel like is more of an 82 with elite defencive and faceoff stats, Torres could probably be dropped and maybe Samuelsson. Keith Ballard i think should be on the team as an 81 or 82

Seeing this roster again, I know how and why we lost but HOW THE FUCK DID WE LOSE?!

I think Malhotra is a bit low assuming this is pre-injury. Maybe 83-ish depending on how you rank his specific defensive abilities.

He wasn’t a pylon offensively either, so his amazing defense + league best faceoff should push him up some more IMO. Also while he was on the Nucks he had better than average discipline.

Samuelsson was so good for us back in the day. I loved the pickup the minute it was announced.

That fourth line looks miserable to play against

The Sedins should be higher, they were in their primes and won the Art Ross. I also feel like Malholtra and Higgins should be higher. On D our pairs should be Edler – Ehrhoff (who should be 87 at least!), Hamhuis – Bieksa, Alberts – Salo.

Every time I see, hear or read about anything on 2011 I die every time

Hamhuis was with Bieksa and Samuelsson was on the 2nd line but otherwise good

The team of my childhood. Still not over the unfortunate events of June 15th,2011

  13. PostKevone

Erhoff and Hamhuis could be a bit higher, but other than that, great list. I miss this team 🙁

  14. PaperweightCoaster

Every single one of those D would be a number 2 on the current team, even young Tanev.

Sami Salo on the third pair!? Forgot what it was like to have this much D depth.

  15. Physics_Puzzleheaded

Tambellini played a bunch of games that year too and was a better player than glass IMO.

Hamhuis, Bieksa, Hansen, Tanev too high.

Ehrhoff, Salo, Samuelsson, Malhotra too low.

  17. archer_cartridge

Tanev and Salo didn’t play much in 10-11, only about 25 games each. The bottom pairing was Ballard – Rome/Alberts most of the year.

  18. Hoofisoz

Lines look off but idk if I’m remembering correctly. I thought the D pairs were Edler Ehrhoff, Hamhuis Bieksa, and our third line was Malhotra Torres and Higgins. Regardless, still sick.

    victor oreskovich over tanner glass

  20. brianwat

May Ray should be on a line with the Honey Badger. Those two had some steam together during the 2011 run.

  21. I would probably swap ratings between Bieksa and Salo

  22. The_Cozy_Burrito

Back when we were elite and had the most deadly PP in the league

This takes me back to the NHL 12 days. Of course the squad was different in NHL 12 compared to the Cup Run, but mostly the same.

How beautiful this is though! 😊

  24. Salo was the best defenseman on that team, but he was always injured/wasn’t flashy so he never got love.
