Wings fan in the Midwest, so my access to DET games is pretty limited, and I lurk the sub passively. Realistically, how much longer are we looking at “rebuilding”? I know we have a lot of young talent developing, and obviously Stevie Y has a plan in place draft wise, but he never seems to give any sort of time frame (rightly so, don’t want to be wrong and draw the ire of the fans)

Let me get this straight. If you want to have watched every game this week, you’ll have needed:
– Cable with Bally – $100 per month / or Bally Sports Plus – $20 per month
– ESPN Plus – $10 per month (used to be $7 a month)
– Cable with TNT – $100 per month
We’re in a back to back where people without cable or an ESPN Plus subscription are going to miss *both* games.
How the fuck is this growing the game?
The lesson at hand: Just stop being poor
NHL teams seriously need to just come up with their own streaming services that will get you every single broadcast regardless of the network showing it. Include tiered packages that will also get you tickets to home games and other extras, or a base package that just gets you the streaming service. Networks still get their money because the team’s service buys the rights to “their” games.
Why the fuck do they make this so hard for the fans
