  1. Meh back it away and move on. Lots of important games coming up lots of 4 point games. Oilers have done well against the Eastern conference this season but glad the travel is over time to focus on the western stretch run.

  2. It seems the "real" Edmonton Oilers showed up tonight. This team is gonna get bounced out of the playoffs in 5. Assuming they even make it there still. If they do, it will be by Calgary's ineptitude, not Edmonton's competence.

    What a colossal embarrassment.

  3. Personally I think Toronto has it this year. A Toronto Edmonton final would be amazing, Toronto hate aside.

  4. Murray not great but Oilers goalie situation is worse! Kane has trouble with Bunting? Then WHINES about in the press post game, classless!

  5. Should’ve pulled the goalie after the tying goal just to make a statement to the team this game wasn’t skinners fault he has nurse giving the puck away literally every shift and taking bad penalties against one of the hottest power play

  6. Not trying to make excuses but imagine if you played 4 road games in 7 nights. These guys need a rest day or 2.

  7. Nothing says all star 9.29 goalie like 3 goals in 3 minutes on 4 shots, after being given a 3-1 lead, but of course it's everybody's fault but the goalie — unless Campbells in net.

  8. So tired of nurse , when you consider hes being paid 3x ekholms salary, you just shake your head

  9. It was an exciting game for a Saturday night. The fact is, no team can sustain their effort night after night throughout the entire season.. One game you’ll see a team play like a Stanley Cup winner then the next gsme look like a Stanley Cup pretender. Both these teams are very good.

  10. Connor has a goal and 2 helpers, Deon scores and leafs win and we all go home happy. Should have played Campbell tonight! self inflicted wounds, 3 goals Murray should not have allowed.

  11. Woody needs some more help….If I could parse all of the Oilers core value weaknesses into one single game this is it ,if you want to know why they did not bring home the Cup last year here is the reason, if you want to know why they will not bring the Cup home this year ,rewatch this game and write down every question that pops into your head as things begin to manifest……and finally if the Oilers want to win the Cup then THEY need to understand that Moma2 says there is a Model of Regression that can be built from which they may look to solve their issues ASAP….but you cant fix what you cant see.

  12. Bookmark this video, because that's how the coach will explain the relegation from the playoffs. Then compare. Because the relegation from the playoffs will look the same – a complete lack of discipline in the game – a lot of deletions, poorly composed links in which players do not understand each other's games, and the complete inability of the coach to establish discipline in the team, and therefore we see deletions from the very beginning. the first minutes. The horror is that this gentleman does not know how to take responsibility for himself and is not ready to see or admit a complete failure of coaching throughout the season. Many games in which the team had an advantage in the score were lost due to deletions and a complete lack of discipline. He says – we will work to become better…For more than 60 games, you can't even create effective links where we would see played bundles of players who can play combinations dangerously. We see the destroyed bundle of Leon and Connor and continue to see them in different links, which looks like a theater of the absurd, especially given the complete inability of the team to show at least some team hockey. If Connor doesn't make passes and doesn't score, the team loses, sometimes even if he makes a lot of them, you still lose. This is a complete failure of coaching, a complete inability to bring the players together so that someone in the team, except Connor, could look at least to some extent dangerous. Bjugstad comes out on the ice, who has 25 points in 63 matches and does nothing dangerous, and we don't see Kostin, who has 18 points in 42 matches..Kostin was much more useful on the ice due to his power efficiency and good passes, if you give him more opportunities to throw, then he should open up even more effectively. The horror is that Mr. Coach says that deletions are something that does not depend on us…He really sees it that way, and that's what leads to defeats. You enjoyed the team's victories here… but it was just bounces..Toronto showed what it's like to play against a TEAM. Against a team that has created effective connections with the chemistry between the players, and not with these mediocre experiments that are destroying Edmonton.

  13. Got a little out coached and caught off guard with how leafs were rolling their line combinations

  14. There's no way the Oilers don't draw more penalties, give them four or five chances first and see what the score looks like. To many mistakes, Drai, Huge, Hyman need to be more aggressive early, not just Kane and Mcd. Kostin needs to play.

  15. If I cant tell you how the Oilers lose games then I cannot tell them how to win games…its that simple…..if I asked how and why we were swept in 4 straight games by Colorado what would you tell me? Its a relevant question today here because we are seeing a direct lack of accurate self-inflection occurring and it is now a detrimental impact.

  16. One goal was Skinner's fault. The rest were point blank give aways in front of the net, defensive breakdowns (again), undisciplined penalties and special teams. Having said that, the side of Skinner's game he needs to develop is knowing when he's all alone in the fight. When it becomes abundantly clear there ain't no one coming to his rescue at any point in the night. Once a goalie becomes aware that defensively your team is completely done for the night, that's when you need to find that next gear and lock it in. If your team is having a complete defensive collapse and there are no signs of the night turning around, you have to bail them out. You have to.. it's as simple as that. If you can't do that then you haven't developed into a playoff goalie. So, yes, the team hung Skinner out to dry, but Skinner is running out of time to transform his game from being a regular season goalie to a playoff goalie. Skinner's got to find that next gear fast and he hasn't found it yet. There have been flashes, but he hasn't locked it in when he needs it. Let's be clear, Campbell is not even a part of this conversation. He's so painfully stuck in first or 2nd gear at best, there is no 3rd gear or next gear for Campbell..at least not this season. Skinner is the Oiler's only hope at this point in the season. Regardless of this loss, Woodcroft has to keep playing Skinner to help Skinner find that next gear. Give Skinner the chance to find it and lock it in. The gear that gets you that shut out. The gear that steals games for your team.

  17. Need Kostin for some intensity. He's a good player not being utilized…..Maybe even put Broberg in this game that is fast paced.

  18. This coach needs to be asked why Klim Kostin is not playing but players less than him are??

  19. Well, better to wake up now before the playoffs. Nurse, Draisaitl, and Mcleod are the usual suspects for these selfish lazy mistakes.

  20. i say woody did the right thing. 3 goals Skinner should have had, however he just barely missed stopping those goals. He will tighten his game up and he is getting more experience for the playoffs. Keep Skinner in and no more Jack Campbell. Pressure often brings out the best in people. Keep Skinner in goal.
