Great game. Great recap brother!
As a Seattle fan, I am kind of disappointed that we didn't make any moves at the deadline to reinforce the squad, especially with Burakovski being out. However I understand Ron Francis logic with not wanting to destroy the squad's chemistry by making hasty trades. I hope that we can make some major moves in the off season (like off loading Grubauer & his contract) especially if we don't make the playoffs to ensure the momentum from the first half of this season is sustained.

Complete game for the Stars. Dominate in all areas of the ice. Stars are finally showing they can close out teams, something I have been concerned about the past few months.

The Stars have always been a tenacious forechecking team ever since they been in Dallas definitely their identity. Just like Toronto has always been a highly offensive team for years
This game sucked compared to what the Stars did to Colorado. That was their best game all year. Hopefully they can keep this momentum going.

It seems like the 2015 Draft really started to turn around the franchise (mainly with Hintz). Since then, our farm system has incrementally gotten better. Obviously 2017 was a masterclass. But now with young guys like Johnston being NHL ready and Stankoven probably ready to make the jump next season, Nill has been making masterful decisions in his drafting. Can’t leave out the intel from the Scouts either.
The puck tail doesn't bother me, I already instinctively know where the puck is due to the reactions of players, so having it doesn't distract me of anything. I'm hoping it helps with newcomers learning how also to track the puck.
Now I will grant you that with the advent of HD TVs, its easier to see the puck now than it ever has been. But I still hope it brings more fans into the sport, fans we certainly need to grow the game. And I know SOME Canadians/old hockey fans love to gatekeep or try and keep hockey conservative, but in this economy if you're not growing, you're slowing, and I'd rather we innovate in more ways than using the technology to get more and more advertisers.
But that's just my $0.02 which I know isn't worth much. And I'm not putting the above statement on you in particular, Shannon, just to some of the folks I converse with about the game. I got nothin' but love for (most) fans. Though I'll still lose my shit if Chicago gets Bedard…

I hate the puck tail too. And the Fn names at the top telling you who’s on the ice. No one who watches these games doesn’t know who’s on the ice. Hockey people watch hockey. Not polo people, or synchronized swimmers. We know who’s on the ice. It’s written on their Fn jerseys! Tail is dumb, never ending names on the screen is dumb. Just let me watch the game without a bunch of bs in the way please. The tail didn’t work in the 90s, it doesn’t work now. It’s still a dumb idea. 30 years didn’t make any difference. Get it gone! I just want to watch hockey please.

We (Kraken) looked very uninspired, flat and bullied all game by a much larger stars team. Its weird after a 5 game win streak, now 3 losses were are tumbling. 2 of the next 3 games are vs oilers and stars again, play like this those are both losses. need to figure it out or missing playoffs a real possibility. I can't blame all the goals on jones but he has not been good in many of his recent starts. It feels as if he's the starting goalie its almost a guaranteed loss lately. Just bring up Dreidger, he cant possibly be worse.
