in both this and the Kaplan in game interview mentioned he wanted the puck more and that that and increased assertiveness was what was still missing for him in NY. fully expect to see him cussing out Adam Fox next game, who for whatever reason since literally their first time on ice together has been extremely reluctant to give Kane the puck. i don't think he's thinking just of Fox w that statement but Fox is definitely included in it.
the most typically Kane play I have seen so far in 6 games is that tic tac toe assist tonight ending w the Trouba goal. that is basically a primary, he knows where the next pass will go before he does the first pass. and that is the kind of play that will happen a lot if he is allowed to be himself and run the offense during his shifts – not have a d-man try to run it. Kane had 44 even strength assists last year for a really bad team. he can create offense out of nowhere, if he is allowed the opportunity. he is looking more comfortable (high shot total indicates that tonight) but has a bit more to go to get all the way in the flow.
this kane guy is pretty good
league better watch out kaner is starting to shape up. also how on brand for him to celly at center ice for his first goal scored at msg for the rangers.
