Exactly, calls are hard to make. They say “oh I cannot believe they didn’t call that” or vice versa, meanwhile those idiots are watching the play from a Birds Eye view at 10 percent speed, over and over again before they make their decision

Our pk cannot go 1/3 while our pp goes 0/2.
Special teams has been tough for us after teams figured out the whole tage thing.

If i had to perfectly encapsulate being a Sabres fan, it would be a must win game against a team you are essentially tied with in the standings, blowing two goal leads three times…. and giving up goals to Oshie, Ovechkin, and the tying goal to Wilson late in the third after taking a completely unnecessary and stupid penalty. Especially after the refs just handed you the game. Topped off, of course, by completely not showing up on either end of shoot-out. It was really perfect.

How are we like 27-0-3 when leading after 2 periods? I mean it seriously seems like we blow fucking 2 goal third period leads like it’s our fucking job…

I just don’t agree with the whole idea of “even it up” calls. If the refs made a mistake by calling a slash on Ovi why call an “even up” penalty on the Sabres when it was the refs mistake. It’s not the Sabres fault they made a bad call. And then to miss 2-3 trips and a blatant hook on Tommer only to call a trip on the Sabres. If you’re not gonna make calls in overtime at least make it so neither team gets called. Could the sabres have done more to secure the lead? Yes. Did the refs tilt the advantage towards the Caps? Also yes.

Both can be true though. The team faltering doesn’t excuse the refs fucking up in a league where they consistently ruin the quality of games. They’re not mutually exclusive. Everyone can suck simultaneously.
