Jeff Paterson on Beauvillier's pace, Kuzmenko tying Bure in goals, Pettersson next Canucks captain

Jeff Paterson discusses the Canucks’ 3-2 loss in Arizona and the silver linings therein. Another two-point night for Elias Pettersson. Two apples for Anthony Beauvillier. And Andrei Kuzmenko tying Pavel Bure’s club record for goals in a rookie season. Other topics include the race to the bottom…or as close to it as possible in Vancouver’s draft lottery quest, and Pettersson as the club’s next captain.

  1. The role of captain means dealing with the media. I don't see Petey wanting to do that at all. Otherwise, he's already the captain. Henrik and Bo were exceptions in being level headed when speaking to the media, win or lose. Maybe JT should be designated speaker for the team! šŸ˜„

  2. JT would make the funniest captain ever I honestly wouldnā€™t mind it the interviews will be comedy gold hahahahahahha

  3. Petey still gets overwhelmed and annoyed at times and shows it with media. Hughes is more captain material to me than Petey is. Miller is most ready for the role but people are still on the hate train for him

  4. Hughes needs 25 points catch Karlsson for Norris not likely Kuzmenko real deal pettersson and Miller probably won't get along after the C

  5. they do not need to pay to upgrade at centre. we have enough propsects, let them see the spot and compete.

1 dman from a trade (where we move out a prospect, think Rathbone, Hoglander etc.)
    1 dman from F.A (3-6years signing)
Every 2023 Draft Pick = Best available Defenseman
