Why Kirby Dach Shouldn't Have Been Playing the WJC

“How often do you get a player who’s 6’4″ with hands who can skate like Kirby Dach? He’s a unicorn.”

  1. fair enough but at the same time hes playing against better competition and developing, rather than training alone or with a small group thats probably not as skilled as him or the kids hes playing against. obviously you dont want him hurt but anyone at any given time can get hurt. taylor fedun had a great preseason one year until he broke his fibula, saying dach shouldnt play in the world juniors is like saying players shouldnt play in the preseason because they might get hurt.

but thats just my beer league bender opinion

  2. So he could probably get more game experience like any other star prospect did before him, before covid shortened everything. I'm not a hawks fan at all but the development of some players that are supposed to be the future are going to get stunted because covid fucking with schedules.

  3. Kirby didn’t Play last year he deserved to go and rep his country as he has probably been dreaming of this since he was a kid

  4. There was no reason to not send him ya cant predict injuries and every kid wants to play in the world jrs weather they played in the NHL the year before or not how'd it work out for patrice Bergeron…if he didn't get hurt and scored 10 foals and started the season off hot yad be saying it was a great idea to send him …..it just sucks !!!

  5. You don't think of protecting investments, you think of developing your investment through training and playing.
